MODULE 1

Write a reflection of the importance of

module 1 to you as a student or as a human
being..

Module 1 is important because in physics,

a force is any interaction that, when
unopposed, will change the motion of an
object. A force can cause an object with
mass to change its velocity (which includes
to begin moving from a state of rest),i.e., to
accelerate. Force cam also be described
intuitively as a push or a pull. A force has
both magnitude and direction, making it a
vector quantity. It is measured in the SI unit
of newtons and represented by the symbol
of F.
Module 2

Give one example of each Newton’s Laws

a situation or your daily experiences where
it exists or applies…

Law of Inertia-
You feel a backward force when the bus
moves quickly from rest.

Law of Acceleration-
The car turning at the corner is an
example of acceleration because the
direction is changing. The quicker the turns,
the greater the acceleration.

Law of Interaction-
Propelling a skateboard with your foot
Module 3

What is the importance of Kinetic energy

and Potential energy to you as a human
being…

Potential energy is energy stored in an

object due to its position or arrangement.
Kinetic energy is energy of an object due to
its movement-its motion. All types of
energy can be transformed into other types
of energy.
Module 4

1.Give practical applications of the

reflection of sound waves.
Reflection of sound is used to
measure the distance and speed of
underwater objects. This method is
known as SONAR. Working of a
stethoscope is also based on reflection
of sound. In a stethoscope, the sound
of the patient’s heartbeat reaches the
doctor’s ear by multiple reflections of
sound.
2.What time of the day does sound
travel fastest and why?
Sound wave speed is depend on air
temperature. Sound waves move
faster in warmer temperatures and
slower in colder temperatures. During
the day, temperatures are warmest
near the surface and cool off with
height. This is known as a lapse rate.
Module 5

1.What is the reason why the sunset is

red?

At sunset the light from the sun grazes

across the surface of the earth, passing
through a long column or pathlenght of
atmosphere. During its passage through the
atmosphere the blue components of the
light are reduced in intensity, making the
transmitted beam of sunlight more yellow
or even red in colour.

2.Why the sky is blue?

Gases and particles in Earth’s

atmosphere scatter sunlight in all
directions. Blue light is scattered more than
other colors because it travels as shorter,
smaller waves. This is why we see a blue sky
most of the time.
3.Why clouds is white?

For most of the day the sun radiates all

visible wavelengths of light and it appears
white. When the sunlight reaches a cloud
droplets in all directions more or less
equally.

4.When does rainbow appear? What is

responsible for the formation of rainbow?

The most familiar type rainbow is

produced when sunlight strikes raindrops in
front of a viewer at a precise angle (4Z
degrees). Rainbows can also be viewed
around fog, sea spray, or waterfalls. A
rainbow is an optical illusion-it does not
actually exist in a specific spot in the sky.
Module 6

Make a reflection for this situation.

Sometimes you experienced sudden

shaking of your body when urinating. Why
this happened?

-Pee shiveres might be due to a sudden

drop in body temperature, or mixed signals
in your nervous system.
Module 8

Make a slogan of a safety tips of handling

Electricity.

Don’t let overload sockets turn you off.

Don’t play with Electricity; it has the
POWER to Kill.
Don’t put your life on the line.
Don’t touch an electrical shock victim,
because it might make you another victim.
