Inevitably, climate change has been a global phenomenon that has dramatic changes in

the earth’s ecosystem. Biodiversity is at stake because of human activities that plunged the planet
in a perplexity of environmental problems. Other misconception of people about climate change
is that it is a natural scenario that is why they keep on ignoring its ability to change the earth
negatively, rather it must be embarked on their minds that climate change doesn’t exist naturally;
humans are big contributors or factors to this. In a view of the lenses of the parts of the world
that have been contributors to this phenomenon, according to Blockin (2020), China, United
States, India, Russia, and Japan are the top five countries that produced the most amount of
carbon dioxide, an element for global warming leading to climate change. These high carbon
dioxide emissions of the said countries are rooted from their industial revolution powered by
manufacturing activities and the usage of fossil fuels. Among the five, China is the largest CO2
emitter wherein it relied heavily on the use of fossil fuels, particularly coal burning. This act of
burning coal is beneficial for their manufacturing activities. From this viewpoint, although it is a
necessity for China due to their economic performance, but it also posed a great threat in
environmental aspects. If the reason of China in the usage of fossil fuels was for the global
competitiveness in terms of economic settings, I think they will never attain their aims because a
true competitive nation will never put harm on nature’s gift. As a student in this digitized era, I
think the best and appropriate way to do is to voice out our insights regarding this environment’s
pressing issue. Through posting on our social media accounts good platform to mitigate the
problem’s impacts is definitely enough to instill awareness on public.

Irresponsible people are definitely the suspects behind the crimes committed on
environment. Through their negligence of obeying rules and regulations regarding the climate
change, it is therefore a good thing to blame them. I am not generalizing everyone that is why I
put the word “irresponsible”. I also think that some teachers and parents, even the governments
have the deficiency in informing individuals regarding the consequences that may produce once
environmental rules have violated. Honestly, I also blame myself at some point because I kept on
silencing myself in posting environment-related posts in my different social media accounts.
According to Procon.org (2020), human is the primarily responsible for the climate change.
“Over 97% of climate scientists agree that human activity is extremely likely to be the cause of
global climate change.  Most scientific organizations also support this view, including the
American Medical Association and an international coalition of science academies”(Procon.org,
2020). From this, I can say that humans are main contributors to that global and environmental
problems as they irresponsibly burn fossil fuels and continue cutting down trees. These acts just
add enormous amounts of gases that make the earth vulnerable for destruction.
