REPORT

1)ENERGY RESOURCES
a)Introduction.-Importance of energy resources in day to day life. Our
dependence on energy resources is increasing day-by day. subsistence farming
and an industrialised country is dependent on energy resources.

b)Energy resources are essential for any society. - The demand for
energy resources is increasing day by day as the population of the country
increases. Every sector which provides basic needs are dependent on energy
resources.

c)Importance of fuel.- Fuels are used for producing electricity, heat or

motion

2)SOURCES OF ENERGY-
a) TYPES OF ENERGY-
 RENEWABLE ENERGY- A source of energy is considered
renewable if it comes from natural sources or processes that are
constantly replenished.
 NON-RENEWABLE ENERGY- Sources don’t replenish, and are
formed when prehistoric plants and animals died and were
gradually buried by layers of soil rock.
3)APPLICATION OF ENERGY RESOURCES-
a) ELECTRIC VEHICLES- An electric vehicle (EV) is one that operates on an
electric motor, instead of an internal-combustion engine that generates power
by burning a mix of fuel and gases.

b) BIOENERGY- Biomass is a renewable energy resource derived from plant-

and algae-based materials. Biomass is a versatile renewable energy source.

c) SOLAR VEHICLES- A solar vehicle or solar electric vehicle is an electric

vehicle powered completely or significantly by direct solar energy.

4) SCOPE OF RENEWABLE ENERGY RESOURCES IN INDIA-

 India is one of the countries with large production of energy from
renewable sources. As of now, 38% of India's installed electricity
generation capacity is from renewable sources.
HYPERLOOP

1)INTRODUCTION:
a) What is Hyperloop?- Hyperloop is all about removing the
two things that slow down regular vehicles: friction and air resistance. To do
away with the former, you make the pod hover above its track, like a magnetic
levitation train.

b) What makes Hyperloop different- The pods carrying

passengers travel through tubes or tunnels from which most of the air has
been removed to reduce friction. This should allow the pods to travel at up to
750 miles per hour.

c) Benefits of hyperloop.- The technology offers very fast

speed of transportation which is twice that of aircraft. It has very low power
consumption. It is safe mode of transportation system.

d)Hyperloop does not pollute the planet.- Regenerative

breaking during deceleration recovers much of the energy used in
acceleration, making it more efficient. Further, it does not pollute the
planet unlike conventional transportation.

2)HYPERLOOP IN INDIA- The proposed Pune-Mumbai Hyperloop project,

an ultra-modern transport system that will reduce the travelling time between
the two cities to 25 minutes from 2.5-3 hours.

3) SCOPE OF HYPERLOOP IN INDIA SUBCONTINENT- India is currently

one of the fastest growing economies in the world. Looking at various
initiatives being taken by the Government of India to develop the lifestyle of
the citizens of the country, Hyperloop could definitely be a worthy leap to be
taken in the Transportation sector in the nation.
4)WHAT WILL HYPERLOOP MEAN FOR CLIMATE, ECOSYSTEM AND
RESOURCES- Hyperloop fits in with aim to shift transport away from carbon
to renewables. Hyperloop routes could be up to six times more energy efficient
than air travel on short routes.

Key benefits of renewable energy resources for

people and the planet
 Like any human activity, all energy sources have an impact on our
environment.
 Worldwide increases in fossil fuel-based road transport, industrial
activity, and power generation is polluting the environment.
 Energy efficiency is a key step to reducing our impact on climate change
and creating a sustainable energy future.

CONCLUSION-
Local governments can lead by example by generating energy on–site,
purchasing green power, or purchasing renewable energy. Using a
combination of renewable energy options can help meet local
government goals especially in some regions where availability and
quality of renewable resources vary. Generating energy that produces
no greenhouse gas emissions from fossil fuels and reduces some types
of air pollution. Diversifying energy supply and reducing dependence on
imported fuels.Creating economic development and jobs in
manufacturing, installation, and more.
