A Social Being in the World, Human

Introduction:

“No man is an Island” this is a popular parse that is composed by John Donnie in which

clearly says that humans is made not into solitude but to socialize with other human another may

it be in the things that they both want or in things that they are have more interest at. This

synthesis paper is focused on why is man a Social being and in which the author would state few

topics in which would connect on the main title if this synthesis paper.

Discussion:

Topic 1: Intersubjectivity

Intersubjectivity refers to the shared awareness and understanding among persons. This

topic plays a huge role in a man’s social life in which human cannot socialize with other human

being if they have different perspectives. In this way deep genuine relationship between persons

exists through dialog. It happens when two persons truly acknowledge each other’s presence and

treat each other as equals. Though dialog a man develops Ich~Du (I~Thou) Relationship in

which a man would make a connection with other human being may it be in the form of affection

or if they share common interest in life. Ich~Es (I~It) Relationship is also a part of

intersubjectivity in where a person would connect to a thing in which this may link on the

connection between human and the environment. The author can truly relate this in her own

experience because as student it is important to speak and ask question with the to the teacher

and to her fellow students about the topic that is introduced in order to have a total understanding

about it.
Topic 2: Human Person in the Society

“Therefore each person “is called to exist ‘for’ others, to become a gift”. “Existing for”

others entails much more than just “co-existing” with them: it means serving them and loving

them”. This is a sentence from the topic human person in the society in which it claims that a

human person is a social being that connects with the society. That a person would not only co

exist with others but also to build connection to each other it may be in the form of loving some

person, or making partnerships with other person because they may share a certain goal or in

simply helping to those in need. Since a human person is a social person through connecting with

other people then he is a part of a society.

Topic 3: Man and Environment

  This topic is about the connection of humans to the environment in which humans should

have build relationship with the environment to treat each others as equal rater than just treat the

environment as means for a person to survive. This connects with the Ich~Es (I~It) Relationship

of the topic intersubjectivity of a social human person in which as a social person one must treat

the environment together with the wildlife as partners for the future to come.

Conclusion:

As a human person and also a student being a social person helps a lot especially when

interacting with other people in school in which having dialog with my fellow class mates and

also with my teachers in all the activities that I must submit but also it help me allot in having a

connection with my society and also to have a connection with the environment through making

even in simple things that may able to preserve the environment for the future.
