Ballot winners are invited to make use of the shuttle bus that will be information below
in place on the evening. Please park in Car Park 1A, near the Shinfield
Road entrance of the Whiteknights campus and take the bus to
London Road. This service will be free of charge.
Upon arrival at London Road campus you will be greeted by staff who
will direct you to the marquee.

1830 Court meeting to commence Great Hall

Once all guests are seated in the hall, the 90 anniversary meeting of
the University Court will commence. This special meeting will
include presentations and readings, performance by the University
Chamber Choir and the conferring of honorary degrees.

1945 Celebratory drinks reception Marquee on quad,

Honorary graduates, senior University staff and guests are invited to accessible from
join members of the Court for a celebratory drinks reception and an west cloister
opportunity to view a specially created 90th anniversary exhibition.

Travelling by car and parking

Ballot winners are invited to park on the Whiteknights campus and make use of the shuttle bus to
London Road that will be in place on the evening. Please park in Car Park 1A, near the Shinfield Road
entrance of the Whiteknights campus, and take the bus to London Road. This service will be free of
charge.

The easiest and most direct route to get to the Whiteknights campus is via the M4 motorway.

• Leave the motorway at Junction 11. Please note that there have been recent changes to the
road layout at the top of the slip road
• When you reach the roundabout at the top of the slip road follow the signs for the
University of Reading
• Follow this road and at the first roundabout turn left on to the A327 (Shinfield Road)
• Follow this road and go straight through two sets of traffic lights, passing a parade of shops
and Leighton Park School.
• Continue straight across at the third set of traffic lights, the junction with Pepper Lane
After the traffic light junction you will see the campus on the right hand side, enter via the
Shinfield Road entrance
• Car park 1A is situated on the left hand side and the shuttle bus will be collecting and
dropping of guests from here.
