System architecture
The high integration and state-of-
the-art technology ensure a single
card design. All functionality, i.e.
switching, clock, controller, line and
tributary interfaces are integrated
onto a single main card. Up to 12x2
Mbit/s tributaries ports are available
on the main card. Additional 1x34
Mbit/s, 1x45Mbit/s or 2x10/100
BaseT ports can be provided by a
daughter board mounted on the
main board.
The STM-1 line interface can be
duplicated to ensure traffic protection
or add/drop functionality.
All other functionality, such as user
alarm and data channel are also pro-
vided by the main board.
