Mullaly once said, "Leadership is having a compelling vision, a

comprehensive plan, relentless implementation, and talented people working together".
However, in the current situation of Barangay Tigatto, this statement was not observed
within the community. Thus, how can they formulate efficient strategies to resolve these
issues?
 
There are different ways to resolve these problems. One of which is for the
barangay officials. From the moment that the officials gained their position, the voters
entrusted their hands for the common good. As mentioned, a position is not for power.
Instead, a position has an equivalent duty and responsibilities to fulfil as they promised
in their platforms. Hence, this promise should not give false hopefor the people.
Meanwhile, in terms of a concrete plan, the officials may also conduct an assessment in
the community to determine which issues are needed to be noticed. In their case, it was
stated that the barangay has a poor drainage system. Officials should prioritize
resolving this issue as it affects the environment since it causes flood which also has an
impact towards the health of the residents when they become infected by the filthy
water. 
 
Moreover, the residents may also take part in resolving these issues. First, as a
voter, they must choose who deserves to be in a position — a person who listens to his
people and make an action. Still, people's participation is needed. Their voice can be an
instrument to initiate change. With that being said, even though the government took so
long to fix an issue, the time of waiting can be spent in planning on how to eradicate the
problem in the community. 
 
Overall, to achieve the essence of leadership, unity must first be achieved. The
people and the government officials must all work together to meet the vision and goals
of Barangay Tagitto. I believe that a cog would not operate if one does not function.
Indeed, the success of the community relies within the hands of each resident. In this
extent, the implementation of the strategies can be proved as efficient and effective.
