The True Concept of Time
What is TIME?
What is Time?.
Yes! Quite a difficult question.
But till we do not define time….
We will never be able…

to understand it….
Everyone knows the answer…

to the question…
What is the time?

It is such and such…
Or whatever it is at that moment…
But What is time Itself?

To understand this…
We have to go back 1000s of years…

When our ancestors …
Used to roam around the forests…
And had no clocks…
watches or any such instruments…
Not even the hourglass,

Or the sundial….
How would you express…

In such an era…
That you agree to meet someone later….

When would that later be?
What is TIME?
But our forefathers…
Always looked to the heavens
The skies….And noted that…
The sun goes around the earth....

The moon goes around the earth
And there is a certain regularity…

A certain system…..A certain order…
In their movements….
In their action….
And that keeps repeating again

And again….And again….
And again….
With unfailing regularity.

Thus came the first expression
We will meet again

when the sun is exactly above us.
So what did they do?

They took a recurring event…
In this case… the noon…
Or when sun is over head..
And…
Thus the concept of time was started.

From Sunrise to Sunset…
And divided into 2 parts…
AM and PM…
With the overhead sun…In the middle
And again into three parts…

And again into 2 parts…
Thus making 12 divisions...

From sunrise to sunset…
And it was called the 1st Horus(sun)

2nd Horus… 3rd Horus… 4th Horus…
And so on…
Thus the Horus became Hours.

And to this day…
We use the 12 hour day and night.
I will digress here for a bit….

After all, why should I,have all the fun….
Here is another point to ponder…
Why do we have 360 degrees in a circle?

Why such an illogical number?
Why was it not a round number?

Like 100 or 500 or 1000?
