Examples: If I sleep enough hours, the next day is very productive.
If the water reaches 100°C, it boils.

1 CONDITIONAL (2nd conditional)


Simple present , +Modal verb (CAN / MAY / SHOULD / WILL)
Examples: If I save a lot of money, I can buy my ticket to Sweden.
If the weather clears, we may go to the beach on the weekend.

2 CONDITIONAL (3rd conditional)


Simple past, -Modal verb (COULD / MIGHT / WOULD)
Examples: If Tom learned that a long time ago, he could take that
promotion already.
If we studied more, our grades would be better.

3 CONDITIONAL (4th conditional)


Past perfect, modal verb + Perfect Infinitive
Examples: If Kenny had prioritized the project development, we would
have been hired to work for IBM.
If I had seen that blueprint for the new mall, I may have chosen it.
