Role Title RAN Platform Engineer

Role Purpose Design, implementation and testing of real-time L1 Baseband software

for 5G-NR, LTE-A, O-RAN nodes. Good experience on optimize L1 SW
for performance, memory utilization on real-time embedded DSP
platform and ensure that design meets performance requirements.

What the role  Responsible for design, implementation and testing of real-time
entails L1 Baseband software for 5G-NR, LTE-A, O-RAN nodes.

(Key Responsibilities)  Aid in product & feature performance analysis, evaluation of

new product & SW releases
 Responsible for carrying out technical reviews and guide the
team on technical aspects.
 Works closely with various support organizations, logistics, and
cross- functional teams from System Engineering, Development
and System Testing to achieve successful new product rollouts
and developments.
 Take care of clean code approach and create/keep review
guidelines,
 Create low level design / pseudo code for the assigned module.
 Write the code in C Language (for a ARM and FPGA Target)
 Test the code at module level and support integration with
other software blocks.
 Profile the module level code and optimize the same to
minimize processing resources
 Knowledge of Software Development Processes.
 perform trainings and knowledge sharing with others in C/C++
domain.
  Experience with software configuration management tools /
version control tools.
 Customer-oriented and committed to work systematically under
tight schedules.

What we are  8-12 years of experience in design, implementation and testing

 Strong expertise in C++/C/Assembly, Real-time OS and
embedded programming concepts: SW task scheduler, Multi-
threaded system, Memory management.
 Deep appreciation of RAN Architecture and Design aspects
 Good expertise in Open RAN / Cloud RAN / O-RAN solutions,
 Good understanding of 5G / 4G 3GPP spec
 Hands-on experience in RAN (LTE/5G) L1 protocol layer and
integration with L2 layer
 Fundamental understanding of different Platform Technologies
such as FlexRAN, Data Plane Development Kit (DPDK), etc.
 Experience with software optimization tools and techniques such
as VTune, Perf, EMON etc
 Experience with low level programming and run time control
tools i.e.: ITP and JTAG
 Trouble shooting Functional and performance issues
 Strong programming in C/C++ language
 Understanding and knowledge on ORAN, CU, DU, RU is an
added advantage.
 Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability
to present to large audience.
 Demonstrated experience and a track record of presenting
webinars, Industry forums and conferences.

Experience & Minimum Qualifications & Critical Exposure to Perform the Job at the Optimum Level
Education

 8-10 Years of experience in the telecom industry with first-hand

experience in design & development of new products in wireless.
 Start-up experience will be added advantage.
 BE / B.Tech / M.Tech (Electronics & Communication Engineering,
Computer Science)
