Anparatus Required: Mereury in glass thermometer (laboratory) with wall stand in centigrade scale.

Procedure.

1. Hang the thermoneter in wall socket after washing it properly.

After two minutes see the mercury level in the capillary of thermometer.

3. Note the reading from thermometer. It gives the value oftemperature in centigrade and henceC.
