The results use a two letter code followed by a number.

Netwar Gain/Loss
The first letter will be either a "A" or "D". This letter determines who can
determine the gain or loss of points for this combat:
"A" = Attacker determines
"D" = Defender get the points.

The player indicated has the following choice:

(1) He can add the points listed for his side to his own Netwar Index.
(2) He can deduct the points listed for the enemy side from the enemy’s
Netwar Index.
• For ex: The Counterinsurgent player gets a “A” result when engaging in
combat in the Green Zone. The Counterinsurgent player has a choice. He
can add subtract one point from the Insurgent Netwar index (as per the “I-
1” value or add six points to his own Netwar Index (as per the “C-6” value).
• Conversely, if the result was a “D”, then the Insurgent player could either
gain one Netwar point, or subtract six from the Counterinsurgent Index.

Level Change
The second letter indicates what happens to the side that got the points.
An "L" means "demoralization" (that side goes down in strength).
An "R" means "radicalization" (that side increases in strength).
Demoralization or Radicalization is accomplished by raising or lowering the
levels of the winner's playing pieces (the winner is the side that got the
points).

The numbers following "R" or "D" indicate the percent of the winner's
Conventional units which are changed as per below:
R1: one half go up one level
R2: all go up one level
R3: one half go up two levels
L1: one half go down one level
L2: all go up down level
L3: one half go down two levels

• Remember, Unconventional units are not affected by Civic Action and

Guerilla combat results, though they otherwise participate in combat
normally.

Change: On the <1:1 column, a die roll of "2" causes a result of "DR1" (not
"AR1").

Explanation (clarification): "Who gets the points" designates the player who
can choose whether to add the points to their own Index, or subtract them
from the enemy's.
