We chose the topic of endangered sea turtles because we both really like sea turtles and

we agreed that humans can make a difference in the oceans to help make them safer. We want to

bring more awareness to the danger sea turtles are facing because of humans. We used the World

Wildlife website to find much of the information in out video. We also learned about different

reasons why all seven species of sea turtles are considered endangered. They are threatened by

humans hunting them, climate change, and pollution. Another threat to sea turtles is habitat loss.

Because humans populate the beaches where these turtles used to lay their eggs, they no longer

have a safe place for them to hatch. Sea turtle numbers are declining because too many turtles are

being hunted and not enough hatchlings are surviving long enough to reproduce and lay their

own eggs. Sea turtles are beneficial to our world in many ways. Without sea turtles many

organisms that make up our oceans and bring life to other creatures would also go instinct. This

would create a domino effect and impact many other creatures in the ocean.

The app we used to create our video was Videolicious. We chose it because it had good

reviews. It was an easy app to use, and we had fun choosing photos to include and recording the

voiceover. We learned so much more about sea turtles from this project as well as we really like

to make videos.
