YouTube provides users with features such as "real-time" streaming or listening to music or watching
videos, rather than downloading files to their computers and viewing them later. When using online
video and live broadcast, there is no need to download files, just a continuous data stream. Some
broadcasters prefer streaming media because it is difficult for most users to store and illegally distribute
content. Users who are interested in the content of the live broadcast can go to the live broadcast

improved YouTube layout to be impressive and easy to use. We can log in from the homepage to
manage all video subscriptions.

The first is the sequence and layout you will use in each video. These are the basic building blocks, such

structure helps to create videos immediately. Based on this basic outline, you already know what to
include in each section, and sometimes you can even include part of a content template.

Interface Design

A good website has a clear structure, easy navigation, and non-intrusive design, while a bad website can
be confusing or even annoying. A good website conforms to the company's philosophy and tone, and
only one message is sent for each article. Bad websites are controversial and seem to be created from
various sources. A good website can attract potential customers, establish a company's image, improve
search engine rankings, and help the company achieve other goals. They exist and are not good for the
business. Some of the good Interface design on YouTube are different features and icons still available
on the full screen mode while watching video. The ability to navigate through different pages through
the navigation drawer etc. similarly, the bad interface design such as not being able to watch video and
comments at the same time, recommendation video way before the video ends and blocking the
contents on the video and so on. All these good and bad interface design has also been briefly described
below along with the screenshot.
One of the good interface designs of YouTube is that even when a user is watching a video in a full
screen mode, users are presented with option like auto play, caption and setting. A user can also easily
exit the full screen mode just by pressing the esc key on the keyboard or can press the icon the right
bottom corner of the screen. This makes the controlling of different features easily without exiting the
full screen mode.
Similar to the other features that are available in the full screen mode of a video, a user can also scroll
down for viewing more details (video description) with exiting the full video mode. After scrolling down
user will be able to see the description of the video along with other detail such as the likes and dislikes
of the video. This interface also allows users to use features without to exit the full video mode.

Another interface design that has made the user experience better is the auto play features. When a
video ends, YouTube automatically starts the countdown to play another video. A user a can either
cancel it or play the next video skipping the countdown. It helps users to manually press key or search
for videos.
Another import interface design is the navigation drawer with enables users to choose between
categories. There are several other options that a user can choose between such as home, explore, list
of subscribed channels, library, history and so on. User can easily navigate through different other pages
with going through to the home page.
Now, talking about the bad user interface design that can be improved by YouTube is, when a user
scrolls through the page for viewing the comments, the video is scrolled up. It disables users to watch
video. So, to improve this YouTube should make a way through which users can watch a video and
comments at the same time.

YouTube allows users to sort comments by the top comments (depending the likes on the comment)
and the newest first. This can be improved by providing users with more such options.
YouTube allows users to report and open transcript for videos but the fact that uses has to go through
one more step to report or open a transcript make the process a bit lengthy. Those options can be made
easier to see by the users just by providing it just next to the like and dislike bottons.

The last interface design that I think can be made better by YouTube is that fact that a recommendation
video appears way before a video end. This is inconvenient as uses are disable to watch the end of the
video because of the such recommendation.
