EXAMINATION GUIDELINES IN BASIC PHARMACOLOGY SCHOOL YEAR 2020-2021

1. Our platform will be MS FORMS 2. On your MEDPHARMA (MS Teams channel)

2. Look for the LONG EXAMINATION channel then enter (you will be prompted where to enter if its
LONG EXAM Rm. 1 or RM 2)
3. To ensure a more stable internet connection, if possible arrange that only your device is
connected to the wifi.
4. You are requested to log in to your respective room assignment at least 10 Minutes before the
time

ENVIRONMENT
1. SURROUNDINGS
• Clear your surroundings – NO display of books, posters, bookshelves, picture frame or
anything that can be mistaken as review materials
• Tables/ workspace should be FREE of obstruction
• Chairs should be comfortable while taking the examination

PERSONAL

1. Everybody should wear their respective UNIFORM WITH BAR PIN

2. Hair – both for Male and female
❖ LONG HAIR – should be tied
❖ Bangs- should wear a hairband or hairclip and show their forehead
3. Take bathroom breaks before the start of the exam, bathroom breaks are not allowed
during the exam

4. GADGETS
✓ 1 st GADGET - LAPTOPS or TABLETS/IPADS only when accessing and
answering your MS FORMS;
✓ 2nd GADGET- Cellular phones for the camera
✓ NO WATCHES (Apple iwatch/ digital watch/ android watch/Samsung
watches) allowed.
✓ No headsetor any other device outside of what is going to be used for the
exam is not allowed.
✓ If you NEED TO CHECK with the time USE YOUR GADGET.

Instructions on where to position Camera and/or mirror

CAMERA

1. Place your Laptops or tablets/Ipad in front of you – they should be in an upright position

2. Your second gadget/ cellular phones should be placed at the back, DIAGONALLY on where your
dominant side is

a. If right-handed place them at the back diagonally; if left handed place them at the back
diagonally.
 b. We should be able to see your laptop or tablet/ipad, your head and body up to your waist
(photo below)

MIRROR (preferred… to minimize usage of more Mbps)

1. Your mirror must be prepared ahead of time.

2. We recommend that the orientation of your mirror is in an angle wherein we can see your
screen and hands. Positioning the mirror at least 45 degrees behind you as an optimum position
(REFER TO PICTURES).
3. The distance between the student and the mirror must be AT MOST 1 meter

CHECKING OF GADGET AND CAMERA or MIRROR WILL BE DONE EXACTLY AT 5 MINUTES BEFORE THE
START OF EXAMINATION
CONDUCT during the Examination proper

1. Proper decorum will be followed

2. Camera/Video ON always

3. You are not allowed to turn to your head SIDEWAYS

4. Look only in-front of your gadget. You may look up and down looking at your gadget only

5. If suddenly disconnected inform your proctor or PROCTOR may call you.

6. ALL MICROPHONES will be muted, but the faculty will have the right to unmute any student at
random.

7. Be mindful of the time limit

8. Be reminded that we have a synchronous time. You must submit at-least 2 minutes before the end
time, NO LATE SUBMISSION. Always double check if you have submitted your answers.

9. All Submission will be final if we did not receive them ON TIME its already considered late and absent,
NO MAKE UP.

10. If by any chance you were not able to submit because of connectivity inform the proctor
IMMEDIATELY (preferably before the end of the exam)

11. Browsing or sending text messages using your mobile devices is NOT ALLOWED at any point, even if
you are finished with the exam.

ANY STUDENT CAUGHT OR SUSPECTED OF CHEATING WILL BE IMMEDIATELY REPORTED AND DEALT
WITH IN ACCORDANCE TO THE STUDENT POLICY OF THE PLM COLLEGE OF MEDICINE
