4059 Telephonic Keyboard installation issue

21 Feb 2017 07:00

Hi!

I am new to this board, registered to ask this question

I am the Local IT Coordinator for the company I work for. We have about 400 employees that I am responsible for, and among them our lovely two receptionist ladies. They
are using an hybrid keyboard variant as per the header of this post.

The last couple of months I have been overseeing our migration from a Windows 7 enviroment to the shiny new Windows 10 for all our users, receptionists included.

I am having a lot of problems installing the driver for this keyboard. The driver installation itself seem to go fine, I have not seen any error messages appear. That is until the
installation finishes, asks me to reboot. When rebooted, there is a device in device manager that has failed and is not working. I suspect this is the telephonic part of the
keyboard, as the normal keyboard functionality is fine.

Having googled around for this issue, I have seen posts mentioning that the drivers supplied with the keyboard most likely were faulty, the problem is that after having
scoured both Google and other search engines, I cannot find anywhere on the internet where any other drivers can be downloaded.

Please note that all install attempts are done on freshly formatted/reimaged computers. I was also tipped that installing the 32 bit drivers should work better than the 64 bit
ones, but I can not see any difference in their behaviour.

Can anyone please help provide a link where I can find working drivers for this Keyboard, and also if any special steps are needed to install the drivers, instructions on how to.

Thank you.

Jens

what version is the 4059 ?

You will need the newest version for win10. The software can only be provided by an alcatel businesspartner, its not downloadable for everyone

Quote From TC1930:

Alcatel-Lucent 4059 IP on Windows® 10 64bits

Version 5.5.2 to 4059IP is the first version compatible with Windows 10 64 bits.

Reminder : The 4059MAC can not be installed on Windows10/8/8.1.

The 4059IP migration isn’t possible from W7 to W10 (Windows10 must be re-installed from scratch).

In this version the driver is the signed driver from Microsoft. Hence after installation of the

usbkbdsigned_64 for Win10, the Alcatel Phone keyboard will have the digital signature.

With a signed USBKBD driver we MUST use the new keyboard with the reference:

3AK17154ABJD.

5.5.3

The version 5.5.2 is compatible with Windows® 10 (64 bit), , Windows® 8/8.1 (64 bit), Windows® 7 (64 bit

& 32 bit)

Windows 10/8/8.1 accept only USB Keyboard with hardware modification: 3AK17154ABJD

Windows® 7 accept only the USB keyboards.

Compatibility OmniPCX Enterprise release R9.1 and upper.
