I verify that the equipment mentioned on this form is
on my rig and the Make, Model, Serial Number and
Asset Number displayed on the form are correct.
DO NOT SUBMIT A PM FOR EQUIPMENT THAT IS NOT ON THE RIG!
MAKE Sure that you have OEM Required Service / maintenance Documents containing all required
information needed.
Report all deficiencies to the RAMS Coordinator/Maintenance Superintendent.
B Bearings
1 Grease unit as per manufacturers specifications. Verify that the hose between grease zerk and the
bearing cavity is intact and grease is reaching the bearing.
NOTE: Extreme caution and your own good judgement must be used when greasing generator
bearings. When pumping grease into a bearing cavity, if after a reasonable quantity has been
pumped and nothing comes out of the discharge passage, you can reverse the grease zerk and
pump through the discharge to try to unblock the passage. Good judgement must be used so you do
not pump grease inside the generator.
2 Verify that running temperature is normal.
3 Measure drive end bearing clearance and record: (If bearing is accessible)
Thousandths of an inch (example: 0.001)
4 Measure non-drive end bearing clearance and record: (If bearing is accessible)
Thousandths of an inch (example: 0.001)
C Megger
1 Megger all phases and record the lowest reading:

D General
1 Clean air filters if applicable. Clean motor inside and out.
2 Verify all covers are in place with correct number of bolts.
3 Verify motor is bonded to motor skid and main skid.
4 Verify unit appearance.
5 Verify operation of space heater.
6 Perform temperature checks on all related components.
Use Infrared thermometer to check all plugs, receptacles, terminals and circuit breakers. Note all
abnormalities. NOTE: Unit must be run at least 1 hour prior to checks.

Comments / Suggestions - Mandatory

Ensure all guards and covers are in place with all bolts installed including lock wire or retainer pins where required.
