Do not use if product shows visible damage

Do not exceed 500 lb patient weight limit

Ensure both the OR Table / Hospital Bed and the stretcher are locked
and placed next to each other with as little gap as possible. Do not use
the transfer board if the gap is larger than 4 inches (10.2 cm) . Ensure
the receiving surface is slightly lower than the adjacent surface to
assist with the transfer.

Do not use the carrying strap to pull during the transfer of a patient.

2 Beds have wheels locked and are 2


placed as close together as possible.

Do not use transfer board if gap is


larger than 4 inches (10.2 cm).

Ensure the receiving surface is slightly


lower to assist with the transfer.

3 If desired, cover the Transfer Board with 3


a plastic disposable cover to protect it
from contamination.

Ensure both ends of the Transfer Board


are protected by the cover.

4 Use a draw sheet to logroll the patient 4


and place the board under the patient.
With the long board, ensure the patient’s
feet and head are on the board. Always
have one clinician supporting the head
throughout the entire transfer.
For tall patients, place a pillow on the
blue cover under the feet to assist with
transfer.
Ensure a clinician is supporting the
patient’s feet when using the short board.

5 To transfer, one clinician should raise 5


the patient using the draw sheet to
ensure the patient’s weight is on the
board. Another clinician will pull on
the draw sheet from the other side to
complete the transfer.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

 After each use, clean the device.


 Clean and disinfect using a quaternary ammonium disinfecting/cleaning solution
following the manufacturer’s recommendation for achieving low-level disinfection.
 Read the cleaning product’s directions and follow the instructions on the label. Use
caution in areas where fluid migration may occur: (example, if appropriate)
 Wipe device with a clean, dry cloth.
 Make certain the product is dry prior to reinstalling to avoid damage.

CAUTION: Damage may result if product is cleaned with bleach.

All modifications, upgrades, or repairs must be performed by an authorized specialist
