I. Objectives: At the end of the lesson, the student can be able to;

b. Appreciate the importance of Volleyball to develop one’s health; and
c. Perform the basic skills of volleyball.

III. Developmental Activity:
A. Pre-activity
a. Prayer
 Choose one student to lead the prayer.
b. Mood Setting
 What is your favorite sports?
 What are the benefits you can get in playing any kinds of sports?
c. Review
 Speaking of sports, can you still recall the basic skills of badminton?
d. Motivation
 Let the students observe the pictures projected on the screen and let them identify the names
of every picture.

B. Lesson Proper
a. Topic Presentation:
 Do you have an idea now if what is our topic for today?
 Our topic for this afternoon is about “Volleyball”.
b. Activity:
 Group yourselves into four.
 As a group you are going to discuss and share your prior knowledge about Volleyball. The focus
of your work is about the history, equipments, and basic skills of volleyball.
 You will be given 5 minutes to finish your work.
 Write all the informations you gathered in one whole sheet of paper.
 Present your work to the class.
c. Analysis:
1. What was your group activity is all about.
2. Do you think you already have enough knowledge in volleyball?
3. Is there other particular information in volleyball that you are not familiar with?
4. What are the benefits you can get in playing Volleyball?
d. Discussion:
Discuss the following to students:

3. Facilities and Equipments
4. Basic Skills in Volleyball
IV. Abstraction:
Let the students answer the following question:
1. Who invented the game Volleyball?
2. From what place does the game Volleyball originated?
3. What are the different facilities and equipment used in volleyball?
4. Who can enumerate the basic skills of Volleyball?
5. What are benefits of volleyball to one’s health?
V. Application:
Let the students perform the basic skills of volleyball by playing the Volleyball Mini Tournament.
The class will be divided in four groups and each group will compete to one another using the Single
Elimination type of tournament until 1 group left and will be declared as a winner.
