WHO IS RIZAL FOR ME?

Dr. José Rizal, the Philippines ' national hero, is respected not only for his
intellectual brilliance but also for taking a stand and opposing the Spanish colonial
rule. Although his death sparked a revolt to overthrow dictatorship, Rizal will
always be remembered for his love for the people and nation of the Philippines.
He was the one who led the Philippines to begin a revolution against the Spanish
government in order to achieve independence and take control of the land. He is
well known for being a propagandist and his way of battling the Spanish
Government through his writing by exposing the Spanish Government's inhumane
oppression in the Philippines. He called for a peaceful war and not a bloody war
since he believes it's the only way to attain liberty. That has inspired many
Filipinos to get their right. They launched several revolts against the Spanish
Government. I sincerely respect Dr. Jose P. Rizal, because he made a difference in
getting the independence for the world. And I'm thankful for what he has done, and
I'm proud to say I'm a real FREE Filipino. He has inspired me to really work hard
in life. Education is the secret to that achievement. Living his values in this life
would get me everywhere. Remembering his values shows me how to be like him
in a way that helps the nation vary. I 'd like to do the same thing I'm doing for my
country. And I will not forget its history. I will try to uphold that tradition with the
best of my capacity.
He will always be remembered by many, through generation by generation his
work will always remain in our Filipino hearts. He is the real definition of
"makabayan", he installed in us that everybody are equal in the world and that we
need to fight for what is right and you don’t need to be afraid of anything as long
you are fighting for what is right and just. He stole the hearts of every Filipinos
that racism shall not live in our world because we are all humans that needed to be
treated right.
