1 PSU-DC-32 Unit Description

The PSU-DC-32 is a variant of the Power Supply Unit (PSU) that converts
site DC power to +24 V DC power.

1.1 Product Overview


The PSU-DC converts incoming DC power ranging from –39 V DC to –72 V DC
to +24 V DC power, with a maximum output of 1500 W.

1.1.1 Main Functions

The PSU-DC:

• Communicates with the Distribution Switch Unit (DXU)

• Supplies system power to the RBS

• Indicates faults

1.4 Function Description


The PSU-DC converts incoming –48 V DC to –60 V DC power to stabilized
+24 V DC power. It can operate in parallel with other PSUs to share loads
and increase power.

The PSU-DC communicates with the DXU through an RS-485 bus.
