WRITING ACTIVITY 1
Recall the most dramatic encounter that you have experienced. Write a short script based on
this experience and make use of the elements of drama discussed in this lesson.

The most dramatic scenario in my life was when my own mother and I
would fight, I still remember back then we had a fight on each other because of the same thing I
did on Facebook and she got mad at that. That’s exactly t night it happened in our room, I'm
sure it wasn't dramatic for you but as a sensitive person, it was very dramatic for me. Some of
the things my mother said were "okay, keep it up, you're just fine, aren't you ?!" she said
angrily to me. I couldn't control myself at those times and she was so angry that she always
made fun of me for everything I wanted to do in my life. "You're always interfering with my
life!" I replied angrily to my mother that I still regret. As my mother’s face wrinkled and her face
furiously stared at me as I burst into tears and sobbed in tears.
Do you know what happened and do you know where it came from? I used to have a
Facebook account and that's not what I use now, it's just a normal Facebook account but I don't
have a friend who is my cousin. We were just lying down and my mom suddenly peeked at my
Facebook, my Facebook featured photo because back then it looked like the woman was
hanging, I didn't put it there to notice where. I only put it because I liked the art of the maker
then and that time when I put it my mother and I also had a fight

WRITING ACTIVITY 2

PERFORMANCE TASK

compose a one-act play that can be staged.
CAST :

Character 1: Lucas Smith -The richest in their school and campus crush.

Character 2: Marcus Choi - Best friend and classmate of Lucas.

Character 3: Zoey Graves - Not beauty but good -natured and smartest in their class.
Character 4: Eloisa Firm - Childhood friend of Zoey.

ACT 1
SCENE 1 :
School 2016 has started again and all the students are really present for their principal's flag
ceremony to everyone.

( student noises )

Zoey : *clock alarms*(shock by the alarm clock and get’s up) Oh my god!? Damn it! I’m late in
my first day of class (scratches on face and easily go to the bathroom to take a bath)

School guard : Hey! Hey! Come here, come here why are you late huh? It is your first day of
school today, having a ceremony for your principal and your late. (wrinkled its forehead)

Zoey : Oh sorry sir, I promise that I never do this again.(she said with begging) please.

*enters car of Lucas Vough to the gate of the school, and go out from his car*

Lucas : (walks at the gate and stares to Zoey, and walks away)
School guard : Hey!

Lucas : (looks at the school guard) Yes? What?

School Guard : Come here real quick, why are you late?

Lucas : (gets back at the gate and talk to school guard) I’m late because… (thinking)

School guard : Because what? You both late.

Zoey : A-ah…

Lucas : (grabs arm of Zoey) Sorry sir we are late, my girlfriend woke up so late this morning.

Zoey : (trying to take hands off for Lucas) Hey let go of me now, there’s no more guard for
now.

Zoey : Are you crazy?! (struggles from her hand to Lucas).

Zoey : Hey! Who’s dumb?! (iritated and runs away from her classroom) .

SCENE 2 :
Each classroom needed to have a class presidents nor the officer’s. Nomination is now open.

* 10th grade *

Zoey : Hey Eloisa, who did you nominate for president in our classroom?
Eloisa : Ah… I-I don’t know who I gonna vote nor nominate. How about you? Who will you
wanted to nominate?Yourself?(smiles at Zoey)

Zoey : Hey no! I don’t know how to control students and I’m literally shy at all.

( teacher’s enter the room and tell that they are having a nomination of officer’s and other rules
for the school and announcements etc. )

Teacher : Okay class, first is the president, Who do you want to be your president? Nomination
for president is now open. Raise your hand if you want to nominate.

Eloisa : (raises hands) I nominate my friend Zoey Graves for President. (looks at Zoey and
smiles then back to seat)

Zoey : Hey eloisa, why did you nominate me? You know that I’m not good at studying, I’m not
good at controlling all of documents if there is, nor our classmates too. (at the same time he
covered herself with her desk)
Teacher : Okay thank you Ms. Firm for your cooperation. Other hand?Other nomination?

Teacher : Fine, only Ms. Graves for nomination in President so she is our President for now.
(smiles)

Eloisa : Yes! (applause)

*students applause*

Zoey : What the (sighs and goes her head to the desk)

SCENE 3:
Every classes have their own officers and also have an opportunity to have their own nominies
for the one they wanted to be the President Council for their school . Zoey is the one who win
or she is the President from their classroom and every class President having a competition and
the one who gonna win from the competition is gonna be the President Council from their
school .

*bells ring*

Marcus : Nice one bro your the escort from our classroom, bet you gonna win againt’s other

Lucas : (laughs) Of course .

Zoey : (running away and heading down to the council for competition)

*school council*

(mumbles of President and teachers)

Principal : We are testing your intelligence and also your own skills for surviving this test and if
you finish that and let’s see your results. The one who got the highest score can be our School
President Council and the second one in the highest score can be Vice President and the third
who is highest can be our Secretary in the school. Did you understand?

All students presidents : Yes ma’am.

Principal : You can take your exam now. If you wanted to be our Class President then you need
to focus right there, even if you don’t want to.

All students president : We will ma’am .

( All class students been focused on their exams)

SCENE 4 :
The results are there and the students known who is the President , Vice President and also
the Secretary in the 10th grade nor in their school.

( All students mumbles )

Eloisa : (taps one of the student and asked) Hey excuse me, what is going on?
Student : Oh, there is the final results of who’s our President Council , Vice President and also
the Secretary .

Eloisa : Oh really?! (excited) Where??

Student : Here in the bulletin . (takes Eloisa to the front to see the bulletin)

Eloisa : (screams) Ahhhh! This is my best friend Zoey, she is the Vice President?! Of our
school?!! (screams again and goes to Zoey)

Eloisa : Hey Zoey! Zoey! Zoey! (very tired and she pulled zoey to the bulletin board)

Zoey : Hey Eloisa! What are you doing?? Where are we gonna where are you taking me?
Where will we go? (confused)

Eloisa : (points on bulletin and points out Zoey’s name) Look bestie! You’re the Vice President
of 10th grade, you’re the Vice President of our school !! (excited)

Zoey : (shock) What!? Why me? I didn’t focus nor the exams are really hard and I don’t know
what’s my score on it too, why me? (tireds)

SCENE 5 :
All of the officers from the council are having an official meeting regarding for the competition
next week to their school. Having an occation nor competition for school representative.

Class President : We are here to make a meeting for this week for the other week of having
competition for the muse and escort. Give me some ideas what gonna theme for the stage,
who is the host and who is gonna be the first student to represent their school.

( counsilors and all the officers are having meeting seriously)

Zoey : So, this is our plan for now (seriously taking notes and telling officers what there going

SCENE 6 :
The all officers are done with their meeting and also announced some of their
announcements to the all students.

School President : Okay now we need to take a break and here are the music club to present
some musics to us as we taking a break and go on to our last candidate. (smiles)

Zoey : Let’s welcome our music club, “THE EMOJIS” to perform their own composed music!
(smiles and applause)

(students cheering and applause)

(music club enters and respresents their music to the students)

Leader of the music club(main vocal) : Hi everyone! (smiles) it’s nice to see you, uhm we are
“THE EMOJIS” and we are performing some classical nor classic music for all of you today.
(smiles)

(students and host applause)

Leader of the music club(main vocal) : (smiles) This song is dedicated to everyone who is in
trouble to love someone and they can’t decide who she/he love. The song title is “Flower”.
(smiles)

(continuesly with their music band)

Zoey and School President : (applause) Thank you for that wonderful performance of our
music club. (smiles)

Zoey : Let’s continue our program for today so we have finish at least 2 representative
section’s for the muse and escort. We are now down to our last candidates.

School Pres. : From section Thistle, let’s arround of applause for Ms. Charish Ash together with

SCENE 7 :
Few years ago time past by, Lucas and Zoey is now best friend now, they knew each other
and also they cheering themselves nor they are telling their own secrets from each other and
having a trust from one each other. Lucas have feelings for Zoey but he didn’t want to tell her
because he is scared of commitment and he is scared of rejections.

Lucas : (sits from chair to roof top of their campus ) Zoey…

Zoey : Mhm? Yes? Are you bored now?We can go and back to our respective classroom
though. (looks at Lucas)

Lucas : (looks at Zoey) No, I like being here, so fresh no stress and though no problems and
not noisy not likes at my room. (laughs)

Lucas : Zoey , I have a question .

Zoey : (shock) Are you serious?!

Lucas :(looks at Zoey) I am

Zoey : Why ? Why me? (confuse)

Lucas : Because I am happy with you, no matter what’s my mood you are always there for
me. You always makes me happy, you’re always there when no ones there for me. Now tell me
who’s not going to be in love with those? I appriciate all of your kindness to me. You are so
beautiful to me , you are very kind to me . That’s why I love you, not as my friend only, as a
lover . (stares to Zoey while holding her hands)

Zoey :(cries) I- I love you too, Lucas .

Lucas :(hugs Zoey)

SCENE 8 :
( The months nor years goes by Lucas and Zoey continues their dreams from themselves as
a lover and they are happy with each other even if there’s a lot of people don’t want their
relationship. Both of them are graduated and also both them got a nice job and became rich
together and they lived happily ever after )
