School Tales

They all needed to group up in the court facilities for the pep rally. Is there were all the

characters will appear and show their way of being, clothing, social class, etc. The narrator is a

normal Senior student who is very observative which comment and judge about some people at

the school.

As all students and faculty enters the court at first sight, I saw Sander the 9th grade history

teacher which only bring me bad memories. He is the typical grumpy that apparent to hate his

job. He is so strict than one day when I was in 9th grade, would always punish me for not

bringing a simple pencil and imagine just going to the office because of a pencil. He also had

allot of problems back when I was in his class because of making fun of the quiet/nerd students

which didn’t do anything except just listen to the class quietly. He is just the worst teacher in the

school which always wears the same cloth, a dark t-shirt with his leather jacket, some brown

pants and his old black shoes and I never had seeing him with another more colorful outfit just

the same dark and sad cloth. He is from middle class I would say because he just gets pay as a

normal teacher in the school nothing more, nothing less.

Next Mister Grumpy was Eris or better known as the troublemaker on the whole school. I

don’t know exactly why he was next to Sander, but he looked grounded, and I can assure that he

did something bad that pissed Sander. Eris is supposed to be in 11th grade but because of his

brutal performance he hadn’t pass the 9th grade. I can say that he is in necessary in these school

because of his actions of not studying, taking advantage of some students, and cheating. Hearing

his name equals to the word trouble. He always wears the expensive clothing like his most used

Gucci shoes that he is wearing at the pep rally. He is not a bad person because he always helps

the people that needed but he just like to be the center of attention being the troublemaker.
Pablo, the high school counselor, introduce the pep rally as all the years since 9th grade.

Pablo is in my class, and I would say he is the most carrying and humble student in the whole

school. He always is in everything that has to do with the high school events such as pep rallies,

dances, homecoming games, etc. he is just the brain of the events in the school. He is also the

best student academically as long I can remember when I first came to school. He is from a very

rich family thanks to his dad, that I don’t know exactly what he does but he must do something

with political business. He has the humblest outfit of all the rich people in the school, he dresses

like a normal person not so expensive but not poor he is just a normal guy that likes school

activities.

As I walk through the school cafeteria, I see the old, retired lunch lady Carmen wearing

her staff shirt and her hairnet. It seemed the school was shorthanded in the cafeteria and was

called by the school to help. She brought back a lot of wonderful memories. Carmen was always

letting the 12th grade students get their food before the rest. She would always complain that the

hairnet didn’t look good on her, and we would always answer back that she looked fine. I always

thought that Carmen was underappreciated she gets paid the minimum and always does her job

with a smile and the food is amazing.

Walking by the hall the classrooms where I pass by Dee Anwir. I recognized him because

of the color of the clothes he was wearing. He always wears a plain t shirt, short jeans, and black

air forces without socks. He was a toxic friend I had to get away from. While I was with him, he

would always pressure me to stuff I didn’t want to do. One time he pressured me to spray paint a

bathroom door and because of that I got detention and almost a suspension. Another time I tried

turning him down, but he threatened me and told me everyone was going to know my secrets.

And so, I since then try to stay as far away from him.
I remembered the time we were assigned to do a group project somewhere around the

second semester of 9th grade which involved building a model out of the materials provided by

our teacher. The student I was paired with is named Alex from what I recall. One thing that stood

out to me was his clothing. It seemed worn out and as if it didn’t quite fit him as well as it once

did. His pants were torn in some areas, and the jacket he wore had a few stitches sewed on. He

was quite shy and reserved, so I barely knew anything about him at the time. Though, getting to

work on the project with him gave me a chance to know him a little more I saw how creative and

resourceful, and smart he was. I do think it’s a shame I didn’t get to speak more to him after that.

Lana is a girl in the current year who acts like she rules the place, and everyone else must

bow down to her and obey. She’s all about being the center of attention, even if it means

bringing others down. She manipulates and sometimes seduces the rich boys in our school

usually to get their attention, but occasionally to get something out of them. Worst thing is she

thinks she can get away with it simply because she’s rich and “of higher status”. She always

wears expensive jewelry and makeup so she can show off how much money she has. I simply

don’t understand her obsession over looks and status or how she seems to have no empathy for

those she thinks as lesser.

Even though I almost never went to the library I went there as a last goodbye. In there I

found James Carl talking to the librarian. He was wearing a buttoned-down shirt, jeans, and his

grey sketchers. James was the one that always helped everyone understand what in class they

didn’t know. He’s been in the library all this time he didn’t go to the pep rally. James said that he

didn’t want to go to the pep rally because there was too much noise and he preferred to read a

book.
As I leave the school, I came across the principal Mrs. Shelby. She would always wear a

grey suit with black shoes and a bright red lipstick. She was the strictest principal. Mrs. Shelby

would always make us tuck in our shirts, wear belts, and sit up straight. When she walked

through the hallways everyone would straighten up. Since she is the principal, she earns more

than any other faculty member there.
