ORION CONSTELLATION PATTERN


According to Greek myth, Orion, led a tragic life that ended when he
stepped on a scorpion, known as Scorpius. The gods felt sorry for him so
they put him and his faithful dogs, Canis Major and Canis Minor, into the
sky as constellations.
1. MATERIALS:
- Styro Cup
- Pencil
- Ballpen
- Flashlight
- Patter of the Constellation

2. Draw the Pattern of Orion at the


Bottom of the styro cup with
a pencil

3. After drawing the pattern, make sure


that it is clear enough to see the
pattern.

4. Poke through the Styro Cup


And follow the pattern.

5. Put the Flashlight at the


mouth of the cup and place
it over in any black surface
to see the lighting pattern
of the constellation.

6. And there you have it,


the Orion Constellation
Pattern made from simple
materials. The easiest way
to find Orion is to go
outside in the evening and
look in the southwest sky if
you are in the northern

hemisphere or the
northwestern sky if you are
in the southern
hemisphere. If you live on
or near the equator, he will
be visible in the
western sky.
