1.0 PURPOSE

1.1 This instruction provides information necessary to assemble and test an AMOS computer for an
ASK5000 Workstation.

2.0 SCOPE

2.1 This procedure includes instruction on the installation of circuit cards, software, and startup testing.

2.2 Responsibility: Engineering.

3.1 24005700PL-001 (Ghost Restore Boot disk).

5.0 PROCEDURE

5.1 Assembly of the Amos Computer

5.1.1 Set the Moxa CP114I card (p/n 100-4000-1021-00) switches to AUTO and RS-485.

5.1.2 Install the circuit cards as depicted in Figure 1.

1. Amos Computer (p/n 24005680SC-00x)

2. Video card (supplied with computer)

3. Ethernet card (supplied with computer)

4. Moxa CP114I card (p/n 100-4000-1021-00)

5. Rocketport 16 card (p/n 100-4000-1012-00)

6. 1784 KTCX card (p/n 100-5000-1000-00)

5.2 Testing of the CPU Assembly

5.2.2 Ensure that all cables and connectors are mated to the Amos computer.

5.2.3 Ensure that the cables connected to the Ethernet card and KTCX card are disconnected

5.2.4 Apply power and follow prompts to start NT for the first time.

5.2.5 Enter nautronix as the owner, computer name, and password if required.

5.2.6 Record the NT license number and the Amos Computer model and serial number on the Configuration
Traceability Record Form

5.2.7 Write the NT license number and AMOS serial number on the NT Disk.

5.2.10 Insert Boot floppy dated 12/10/01 or later.

5.2.11 Restart the computer. Type <enter> twice, once for date and once for time.

5.2.12 Type <A:\fdisk>

5.2.13 Type <3>, <enter> for delete partition

5.2.14 Type <4>, <enter> for deleted non-dos partition.

5.2.15 Type <2>, <enter>.

5.2.16 Type <Y>, <enter> for continue. The secondary partition is now removed.

5.2.17 Hit <Escape>.

5.2.18 Type <3>, <enter> for delete partition

5.2.19 Type <4>, <enter> for deleted non-dos partition.

5.2.20 Type <1>, <enter>.

5.2.21 Type <Y>, <enter> for continue. The primary partition is now removed.

5.2.22 Hit <Escape>.

5.2.23 Type <1>, <enter> create dos partition or logical drive. –wait-

5.2.24 Type <1>, <enter> for create primary dos partition. –wait-

5.2.25 Type <Y>, <enter> for make maximum space available.

5.2.26 When prompted hit any key to restart.

5.2.27 Type <enter> twice, once for date and once for time.

5.2.28 Type <A:\format C:>

5.2.29 Type <Y>, <enter> for proceed with format.

5.2.30 When prompted type <enter> for volume label.

5.2.31 Remove the boot floppy.

5.2.32 Insert the 24005700PL-001 (Ghost Restore Boot disk) in drive A:

5.2.33 Insert 24005698PS-002 (Master CD, ASK5000 Software Allen Bradley software v. B) in the CDROM
drive.

5.2.34 Confirm that the AMOS computer has an assigned copy of Ghost 2001. Mark the Ghost CDROM with
the ASK name, Serial Number, and Vessel name.

5.2.35 Repeat para 5.2.34 for Wonderware License disk, and RSLinx Disk.

5.2.36 Select <CTRL>, <ALT>, <DELETE> to restart the computer. During Ghost load ignore error messages.

5.2.37 At the Ghost Main Menu, select OK.

5.2.38 Select <Local>, <Disk>, <From Image>.

5.2.39 From the Look In pull down menu, select the CDROM as source drive.

5.2.40 Select the CDR0001.GHO file.

5.2.41 Select <OK> for drive (1)

5.2.42 Select <OK> for (1) primary as the destination drive.

5.2.43 Select <YES> for proceed with disk load.

5.2.44 When Ghost is finished, Remove the CDROM, and Floppy disk, and select <reset computer>.

5.2.45 When Windows starts confirm the following.

a. From the start menu, select <Programs>, <Administrative tools (common)>, <Event
Viewer>.

b. From the LOG pull down menu, select System. Confirm that there are no startup errors
logged on the most recent start. All blue.

5.2.46 Select START>SHUTDOWN>SHUTDOWN>YES.

5.2.47 Route 24005700PL-001 (floppy) and 24005698PS-002 (Master CD) to the manufacturing supervisor.
