A funny experience

men’s voices, talking quietly. I ………………..(be) terrified. I ………………..(get) out
of bed and ……………………..(creep) downstairs. The voices ……………………(come)
from the sitting room. I ………………….(open) the door,
I………………………(tremble), and then I ………………………..(laugh) with relief. In my
tiredness I ………………… (forget) to turn off the television.
