Subject of Mail: application for Winter Internship- November and December, 2021- Tanuj

Sharma (NLUO)
Respected Ma’am/Sir
I am Tanuj Sharma, a third-year law student at National Law University Odisha
pursuing BBA.LLB. (Hons.). I take immense pleasure in applying to your esteemed law
firm, Kachwaha & Partners for the winter internship program for the time period of 20th
November to 31st December, preferably with the Dispute Resolution team at your Delhi
office. As a highly motivated student I strongly believe that if given an opportunity to work
with Kachwaha & Partners, not only it will give me a head start in my career since your firm
is considered as the benchmark in the realm of Dispute Resolution but will also give me an
exposure to work closely with the Corporate & Commercial team which continues to inspire
students like me by working with clients from all walks and also an experience to work at a
firm whose members are in tune with the work culture of international Law Firms and
expectations of big corporate clients.
I have had a consistent academic background throughout my student life. In class 10 th, I
secured a CGPA of 9.6/10 and in class 12th I secured 93% along with being a member of the
executive council. Moreover, my current CGPA of college stands at 7.10/8.00. I have won
several accolades in moot courts, debates and other allied competitions. I have also recently
completed a certification on Intellectual Property. My previous litigation and dispute
resolution internship experiences have been at several District and the Delhi High Court
advocates where along with legal research, I also learnt the importance of discipline and
consistency. Currently, I’m interning under a full-service corporate law firm, Nanda and
Nanda Advocates where I am working with the General Corporate team. It has given me an
exposure to several practical aspects of corporate law along with enriching my base for
practice of dispute resolution.
I believe that the researching and drafting skills that I have acquired from my past
experiences of mooting, publications and internships have enabled me to prove my mettle as
an effective and resourceful team member and mentee for your law-firm. Further, I believe
that my effective communication skills and my ability to learn quickly would be instrumental
for the firm as I can very efficiently apply my learnings to work and get effective results as
output. As an intern at your law-firm, I assure you that I will prove to be an important asset
on whom the mentors can rely on for achieving the desired goals while upholding the
principles and ethics of your organization. I would be really grateful if I get an opportunity to
work under your law firm and learn from you so that I can constructively add value to this
esteemed organisation.
