My name is Mary Rose Rocero, you can call me either my first name or surname.
I am 19 years old with simple dreams and wishes in my life. My name Mary Rose I think
it comes from the name of my grandmother which is Rosima, aside from that there is no
other reason. I am currently first year college at Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng
Valenzuela. I live in Block 24 Lot 8 Compound 3 Sitio Kabatuhan, Gen. T. De Leon,
Valenzuela City. I am a kind of person who is simple in everything and a little bit saving
money all the time especially in this time of pandemic because of limited resources.
This pandemic taught me a lot especially in supporting my friends and listening to them
when they feels heavy emotionally and mentally. I am honest person that you would
trust and a kind of person who is chose to do what is good and right at the same time
but not all the time. Someday, I wish to finish my study and having a stable job, if ever,
for me to buy all the things that I want to give to my parents like own house because we
are living with our grandmother house with our auntie and uncle but in a different room.
My dream job is simple because someday I want to work in a bank that is little far from
being an Accountant, because it made me realize while I was studying that being an
Accountant is not for me maybe because when I was in senior high school I did not
know well the course. I do not know why I chose this course like I said my dream is little
far from being an Accountant and lack of knowledge how this course all about but now I
know that this course is for people who is wanting to be an Accountant someday. Since
there's an opportunity to shift to another course I grab it for me to lessen the pressure
that Accountancy students have because of having a retention policy and going to
another course which is Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Financial
Management.
I am currently living with my parents, and siblings with our grandmother but in
different rooms. My mother is a housewife but sometimes she is helping my father. My
father before is construction worker but lately when one of his thumb is injured because
of the machine he stop working. After a years, my father going back to his work but in
another work with scrap things that gather it all to be sell in the junkshop. I have four
siblings and I am the eldest and it is difficult for me to be an eldest because all the
responsibility in the family could goes to me even if my parents did not let it. My second
brother is Albert, 18 years old who is currently grade 9 students. Then, the third one is
Rafael Ian, 17 years old, currently grade 10 students and Gaylee who is in the grade 9
level also, 15 years old. They have in the same school which is JEDS (Justice Eliezer
Delos Santos High School) . My youngest brother is Garry who is in the grade 5 level
this school year, 11 years old. Me and my siblings did not like other brothers and sisters
who is having a strong relationship with each other because there is an awkward
moments sometimes but I know that even if we did not show it we love it each other as
a family.
If I compare myself in one object I think it is a bird. Since elementary when my
teacher always ask to me please chose an object that you can compare with, bird is the
first thing that comes in my mind. Just like a bird it is flying freely in the sky that no one
stop him to fly but it is his decision to stop. I can compare myself with a bird because I
have a freedom to do whatever I want to do and my parents did not let stop what I want
instead they support me all the times. As long as they have a trust with me I can not
destroy it because once it lose it will never comeback again. I said that I am lucky to
whom my parents now because they did not pressure they children not like other
parents who has a high expectations with their children. Also bird symbolizes with
peace, I am a type of person who is always to choose being calm all the time in different
situations because if I remain calm I think I solved one thing smoothly without any
pressure. Also, I chose to be happy all the time no matter what problem comes to me,
always chose to be happy.
