1. Introduction

This documentation is designed for internal use only and should not be circulated to
other customers. Documentation of this set-up must be included in the installation exit
report for the property.

***Please note that this is only for PC Workstation which runs at Window 7 with 64-
bits solution***

Vision for Opera on Windows 7 x 64bits Workaround

**Vision product is not supported in x64**

You will require;

- Win32 11g R2 client
- MS office 2010 / 2013 with 32 bits version

2. Installing Oracle 11g Client (32-bits)

The default installation path for Query & Analyst is

C:\Program Files\Oracle – OraClient11g_home1

Double Click Setup.exe

Selection Installation Type > Runtime (530.0KB) > select Administrator then click Next

Select Product Languages > Only English > Next

Installation Location leave as default and proceed to “Next”.

System will auto proceed prerequisite checks until 100% before continue to next.

In Summary, click “Finish” button and system will start to install the product.

Once Oracle11g_client installed successfully, you may click “Close” button.

After installation the Oracle Client 11g:

Go to Start > Program Files / All Programs > Oracle – OraClient11g_home1 > Configuration
& Migration Tools > Net Confuguration Assistant

Select “Local Net Service Name configuration” and click “Next”.

Select “Add” and click “Next”.

Service Name set as OPERA and proceed to NEXT.

Select “TCP” and click “NEXT”.

Host Name point to Opera DB Server and use the standard port number of 1521.

Click Next

Select “Yes, perform a test.”

You will get an error message as “The account is locked”. Proceed the steps show in screen
below:

After changing the username & password, system will show “Connection…Test
Successfully.”

Click Next

Net Service Name set as OPERA.

Select “No” and proceed to next and click “FINISH” button.

3. Installing Query & Analysis

The default installation path for Query & Analyst is C or D:\Program Files\Infor PM QA
(Depending where you place the installation folder)

Double Click (Query_and_Analysis) and double click Welcome.exe

Click Install Query & Analysis (V10.1.6) / Select Install Client Components

Click NEXT to continue

Select “Custom” and click NEXT to continue and install

Click Next

4. Copying Datalink / Serduct

Folder name should be like:

Go to Start > Update DataLinks

Select Infor > Query & Analysis > Admin > Settings > LsAlchemy

6. Test and write object into Synonym Schema

Go to Start > All Programs > Infor FMS SunSystems > Query & Analysis > Maintenance

Password leaves it as blank. Click OK

* This depend on the information when creating VISION schema
