Literature Review

This article is about the supply chain management of Tesco who at that time was facing
scarcity of food sector in European countries. Mainly the idea of this article covers the areas
where Tesco made its relationship with its suppliers to strengthen its supply and took
necessary feedback from the consumers to ensure supply should be made appropriate in order
to take European food sector out of this trauma. In order to carry out the results, the author
made qualitative research where he conducted interviews with meat suppliers, organizations
and buyer-seller partnerships. They were interviewed with semi-structure questionnaire and
kept identity of the interviewees hidden due to confidentiality. According to Ling, 2001,
Tesco identified co-operation through vertical and horizontal integration in a SWOT analysis
of UK farming. With limitations to consumers, the author managed to find the results that an
organization can strengthen its supply chain with integrated and relationship based business
to business dealings which can provide real benefits to stakeholders and enable them to
deliver quality and performance improvements to end consumers.
