Meniere's disease:
Clinical presentation:

● Vertigo
● Hearing loss
● Tinnitus
● Aural fullness

Etiology :

Autoimmune, Allergies, Na+ and H2o retention, hypothyroidism, Mumps, syphilis, head
trauma, previous infection

Risks :

Alcohol, smoking, fatigue, stress, respiratory infections, aspirin, genetics.

Management:

● Vestibular sedatives(eg: prochlorperazine)


● Vasodilators, antihistamines,

● Diuretics

Surgical Management:

● Endolymphatic decompression or shunt


● Destructive labyrinthectomy

Lifestyle modifications :

● Avoid allergen
● Smoking cessation.
