    The National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology is upgrading the existing offline NEFT/RTGS payment method on their student portal to a new online EFT payment method. Starting February 16, 2021, students will be able to make payments through an option called "NEFT/RTGS" that will use the new online EFT system instead of the old offline NEFT/RTGS system. Students can validate payments made through the old offline system until February 15, 2021, but any payments made through the old system after that date will need to be refunded.

    Date: 05.02.2021
    “Adoption of new method of NEFT/RTGS on Student Portal of
    NIELIT (https://student.nielit.gov.in)”
    It is hereby informed to the stakeholders of NIELIT that the
    existing method of accepting the payments through Offline
    NEFT/RTGS is upgraded to the new Online EFT (Electronic Fund
    Transfer) payment method. The new payment option will be
    available as “NEFT/RTGS (w.e.f. 16.02.2021)” instead of existing
    “NEFT/RTGS”.
    The stakeholders can only validate the payments deposited till
    15.02.2021 through existing NEFT/RTGS for which the option will be
    available as "NEFT/RTGS (valid for validating the payments
    deposited till 15.02.2021 only)". However, the stakeholders
    making payments through existing/old NEFT/RTGS method after
    15.02.2021 are requested to kindly take refund of the deposited
    amount. The form for refund of unsettled deposited amount is
    available at https://www.nielit.gov.in/sites/default/files/NEFT_RTGS_REFUND_FORM.pdf
