2 Body manifests from child to youth, to old Soul doesn’t undergo any change. dehino ’smin yathā dehe

Body disintegrates at the time of death. Soul changes the body at death.
kaumāraṁ yauvanaṁ jarā
tathā dehāntara-prāptir
dhīras tatra na muhyati : BG 2.13
3 Body changes by action and reactions of Spirit soul remains same despite everchanging nāsato vidyate bhāvo
different cells inside the body. body and mind.
Body is everchanging. Soul is eternal.
nābhāvo vidyate sataḥ
ubhayor api dṛṣṭo ’ntas

4 Without soul, body is dead material. Soul spread all over body avināśi tu tad viddhi

7 Body can be killed Impossible to kill soul ya enaṁ vetti hantāraṁ
yaś cainaṁ manyate hatam
ubhau tau na vijānīto
nāyaṁ hanti na hanyate : BG 2.19
8 Body takes six kinds of transformations. Soul has neither birth nor death at any time. na jāyate mriyate vā kadācin
Soul is unborn, eternal, ever-existing and
primeval.
nāyaṁ bhūtvā bhavitā vā na bhūyaḥ
Soul is free from six changes of the body. ajo nityaḥ śāśvato ’yaṁ purāṇo
Body takes six kinds of transformations. Soul does not go through any change. na hanyate hanyamāne śarīre : BG
2.20
9 Soul is indestructible, eternal, unborn and vedāvināśinaṁ nityaṁ
immutable.
ya enam ajam avyayam
kathaṁ sa puruṣaḥ pārtha
kaṁ ghātayati hanti kam : BG 2.21
10 Soul cannot cut to pieces by any weapon, not nainaṁ chindanti śastrāṇi
burned by fire, not moistened by water, not
withered by the wind.
nainaṁ dahati pāvakaḥ
na cainaṁ kledayanty āpo
na śoṣayati mārutaḥ : BG 2.23
