Children are considered the future of any nation. Parents weave their
hopes and dreams around them. They always wish to see their children as highly
successful human beings. All parents expect that their children should be highly
educated and possess lofty etiquette and divine virtues.
If we look back at our glorious ancient education system, we will get to
know that such expectation could be possibly met with only ancient Vedic
Sanatan (Eternal) Rishi-tradition Education culture which was ever a sublime
and harmonious blend of quality education and high moral ethics and values.
Patanjali Gurukulam is the institution that envisaged to adopt

An Introduction of Patanjali Gurukulam
With the holy blessings and benign guidance of Param Pujya
Yogrishi Swami Ramdevji Maharaj and Shraddheya Acharya
Balkrishnaji Maharaj and in the divine and august presence of Shri
Trivendra Singh Rawat ji (the then Chief Minister of Uttarakhand), Head
of R.S.S. Shri Mohan Bhagwat ji, Pujya Acharya Mahamandaleshwar
Swami Avadheshanandji Giri ji Maharaj and other venerable saints and
distinguished dignitaries, Patanjali Gurukulam, was inaugurated in June,
2017. Following our classical and glorious perpetual Vedic Rishi
tradition and culture of Vedic Gurukuls, well-established by our ancient
enlighthened Rishi-Munis (saints & sages; hermit & ascetic), the
considerable inclusion of modern education has also been incorporated
for the holistic development of its students.

To groom fully awakened and fully competent souls who will build
an awakened, enlightened, physically, mentally, intellectually,
spiritually, socially, economically, politically and scientifically
developed family, society, nation and the world on the whole.
Objectives of Patanjali Gurukulam :
1. Programme of Creating Vedic Scholars: This spiritual programme is
based on preparing veracious scholars related to different subjects and
arenas such as Grammar, Philosophy, Vedas, Upanishadas, Bhartiya
Genuine History and royal duties etc., and the graduates who will be
capable of showing unparallel leadership in social, spiritual, economic,
scientific and political aspects.
2. Programme of Creating Exemplary and Prolific Pr olific National
Leadership for Modern Bharat: To prepare intellectuals and national
leaders who can set new landmarks in different fields like: Technology,
Management, Defence, Administrative Services, Police Services,
Medicine, Engineering, Games and Sports, Fine Arts, Music, Drama,
Agriculture, Industry, Research, etc.
We will be instilling in the young minds the glory of both, utility
and attraction. Later the child will take up his way according to his/her
Karmashaya, Sanskar and Swabhava. Param Pujya Swamiji believes
that the possibility of reformation in a child decreases by one percent
with every passing year of age. And generally from every aspect a child
becomes enlightened by one percent every year. But with the help of
intellectual efforts we can develop this enlightenment physically,

1. Knowledge Aspect-
To enhance intellectual development of a child is our primary goal.
2. Behavioural Aspect-
To ensure that a child remains 100% free from prominent behavioural vices.
And being aware of the latent vices and to get rid of same with full

Patanjali Gurukulam are following the path of our ancestors.” All Acharyas,
scholars and students are expected to have the attitude and values as
expected from the descendants of Rishi-Rishika, Veer-Veerrangnas and

vices like desire, despair, insistence, impulse, reaction, etc. as we have

though it is true that, our Sanskaras and Karmashaya (habitual potencies and
fruit of the all type of actions performed in previous births or lives) instilled
in our soul from previous lives and our attitude and nature of the present life

Gurukulam. Trained, highly qualified and experienced teachers are
appointed to impart education. Compassion, devotion to duties,
good manners, helpfulness, dedication and strong belief in
spirituality are some of the prerequisites of teachers at Patanjali
Gurukulam.
12. Enhancement of teachers' skills is a constant process here. Since
teachers live in the campus, open teacher-taught interaction sessions
are held regularly. The teachers interact with the students to give
them the much-needed academic and emotional support to make
them feel at home.
13. Every person possesses hidden great personality traits and the
Patanjali Gurukulam provides the most suitable environment to
nurture these latent traits. Huge, well ventilated and clean

General Ethics
1. All the students are required to strictly abide by all the rules and
regulations, modesty and moral ethics of the institution.
Disobedience, violation of rules and disbelief against the institution
shall be deemed as severe indiscipline. In such case the school
management reserves the right to dismiss or punish the student.
2. The damage caused by the student to the property of the institution
shall be redeemed or compensated from the imprest account of the
student. Wilful destruction and damage to the property of the school
shall attract fine.
3. We thoroughly take care of the health and hygiene of the students at
the institution yet the management shall not be responsible for any
unwanted and unfortunate happenings (incidents).
4. The management reserves the right to dismiss and punish the
students in case any discrepancy is found in the documents
submitted by the parents at the time of admission or the same kind of
action shall be taken for hiding or falsification of any information in
the documents.
5. The students are not allowed to use or keep mobile phone, any sort of
electronic gadgets, money in cash and jewelry. Any sort of such stuff
shall be immediately confiscated if found in the possession of the
student and shall not be returned to parents. Doing so may also entail
disciplinary action against the student. Therefore, the parents are
requested not to provide any expensive jewelry etc. to their child.
The school management shall not be responsible for the loss of such
stuff.
6. Parents shall not provide any food stuff additionally to their children.
If it is found, the provide eatables shall be distributed among all. On
special and particular occasion, if the parents want, they may
distribute food stuff among all in common. For this, they must
contact and inform the concerned office.
7. Parents are also requested not to give any gift or cash to the
employees of the institution. If such case comes in the knowledge of
the school administration, disciplinary action shall be taken against
the student and the employee.

8. With the permission from the concerned office, parents may provide
some sports items or equipments to their child such as bicycle,
badminton, football etc. but these equipments shall be used
commonly by all. Expenses on their tear & wear shall also be
incurred by the parents themselves; management shall not be
responsible for it in any way.
9. Parents shall inform the school management immediately in black
and white if they have changed their address or contact number/s etc.
10. Parents (both mother and father) are mandatorily required to attend
all the parent-teacher meets.
11. Zero marks shall be awarded in case any student is found using any
unfair means during the internal exams. If he or she is found doing so
in the half yearly or final exams, he/she shall get zero marks in all the
subjects.
12. Parents must pay attention to all the important information delivered
to them from time to time via SMS, E-mail and Whatsap.
13. One shall apply one week earlier for transfer-certificate.
14. Parents' entry in the hostel and classroom is strictly prohibited
without the permission of Principal.
15. There are two branches of the girls Gurukul (above class 5th). The
right of selection of girls for any Gurukul remains with the Gurukul
management only. Parents shall not make any request.
16. Parents visiting the students or attending any programme of the
school shall make arrangement of their food & lodging on their own.
Food & lodging may be available free of cost at Maharishi Valkiki
Dharmashala or payable at any other place. The institute provides
food & stay free of cost to the parents only during Gurupurnima.
17. The students are allowed to talk to their parents over phone once in
two-months only for 10 minutes (on last Sunday of April, June,
August, October, December and February)
18. Guidelines for leaves and parents visit is as below:
a. There is no provision for any break or leave after class 8th onwards.
Parents shall not make any request for sudden break or leave in
between. In certain circumstances, the decision of the Gurukul
management shall be deemed final.
b. Three day camp will be organized every year on Guru Purnima. The
parents shall compulsorily attend the camp. The parents may meet
their children in the spare time during programme.

c. Every year from Deepawali to Bhaiya Dooj, various activities shall
be organized for the students. Parents may also visit and meet their
children during these events.
d. Parent may meet their child on his/her birthday and join the Yagya
held for his/her birthday. Parents may meet their child only for one
hour.
e. The parents can meet their child in the school premises in the evening
from 5 to 7 on every last Sunday of April, June, August, October,
December and February.
19. Parents can make request to authorize maximum three persons to
visit or pick up their child. Parents have to provide the photographs,
signature accompanying a consent letter to authorize these three
persons. Other than these authorized three persons, no else shall be
allowed to meet or pick up the child. In certain circumstances, the
management may allow the visit on the undertaking given by any of
these three persons.
20. Cooperation from parents is always important for us. Mutual
understanding between teachers and parents is very significant for
the all-round development of a child. Researchers have proved that
the performance of a student depends on the mutual coordination,
contact and understanding between parents and teachers.
21. Entry or promotion to the next academic session shall be based on the
previous scholastic performance and behaviour. Parents and
students are required to follow all the rules and regulations issued by
the management from time to time.
22. Our primary objective is all-round development of students. To meet
this objective we teach our students that they should adopt the
lifestyle purely based on Yog, Ayurved and the Vegetarian Nutritious
Food. We expect the same lifestyle from the parents as well.

Code of Conduct for the Parents/Gurardians:
1. Parents are required to be fully virtuous and genuinely showing faith
in the resolution of Revered Swami ji to prepare divine human beings
for spiritual Bharat and the enlightened world.

Rishis & Rishikas to lead the society. This goal can not be achieved
without the cooperation & unconditional faith of parents in Pujya
Swamiji.
3. Patanjali Gurukulam mainly aims at developing multilingual skills,
divine programming of the brain, saintly purity, practice of spiritual
life style pertaining to diet, thoughts, speech, behaviour & conduct
and stresses that every student here lives a life according to the Vedic-
Rishi tradition. 'I am born only for the sake of nationalism and the
Vedic religion & culture; I'll dedicate, devote and sacrifice my whole

students instantly. The worst thing regarding bad habits is that they
grip us very quickly and last for long time. Getting out of bad habits or
to mitigate its influence takes lot of unproductive efforts and time. It is

1. General food and accommodation charges are included in annual
contribution fee (In the very first year admission & security fee are
aslo included).
2. Imprest: This fund is used for hair cutting, laundry, postal expenses,
telephone, stationery, books, damage compensation, fine, personal
health care, excursion and purchasing daily use commodities. The
minimum corpus for the above expenses has to be maintained as low
as Rs. 5000 throughout the year. To maintain the minimum level of
imprest, parents may be asked to contribute annual charges in
between the session.
3. Uniform: Student's uniform shall be purchased from the annual
contribution. The actual cost will be deducted from the annual
contribution and the remaining amount will be included into the
imprest.
4. The students shall not be given transfer certificate until he/she clears
all the dues or obtains 'No dues' certificate from the school.
5. The result or progress report card of the students shall be held back in
case any due remains pending or unclear.
6. Any deposited fee or amount shall not be refundable in any case.
7. The expenses incurred by the institution on the living, food and
studies of a student amounts to Rs. 15 to 20 Thousand per month. At
present whatever contribution is being received from parents is just
symbolic. In case of withdrawal of/by the student from the studies in
between (without finishing minimum level of graduation
programme) or deliberately such situation is being created by the
student for the withdrawal of the student then all the expenses beared
by the management on the student till date, parents have to pay
minimum Rs. 1.5 Lakh each year accordingly and shall take the
student and the credentials otherwise not.
(The actual minimum expenses of a year (Rs. 1.5 Lakh) would be paid
even the student is withdrawn in middle of any academic session.)

1. “Swadeshi” is a basic and important principle of Sanskrit
Gurukulam & Patanjali Yogpeeth. Therefore all general utility
items should be sourced from Indian Manufactures only.
2. Above items should be packed in a VIP or similar Suitcase (Hard-
case with Lock)
3. A list of Clothes should be handed over to the Hostel Warden.
4. Mobiles, Cameras, iPods, Tabs, Walkman and all such costly
Electronics items, Perfumes, costly silver and gold ornaments etc.
are NOT permitted.
5. Dress Code: Parents are requested to take care while sending casual
clothes with the children. Tight & transparent outfits are not
allowed. Dress sense should be based on Bharatiya Parampara,
comfort, appropriateness & tastefulness of choice, rather than
trends of fashion, desire for display or attracting unnecessary
attention. These dresses should NOT display risque prints or
symbols, advertisements that promote drugs, alcohol, tabacco or
violence. They are prohibited on all apparels.
List of Documents to be brought at the time of admission:
1. Transfer Certificate (TC), countersigned by the D.E.O. or the
concerned board official, to be submitted in Original.
2. Birth Certificate, in Original for verification purpose and one
photocopy of it to be submitted.
3. Previous year's Report Card, in Original for verification purpose
and one photocopy of it to be submitted
4. Medical fitness certificate (in the given format), certified by a
qualified doctor having not less than bachelor's degree.
5. Recent passport size photograph (6 copies) of the candidate.
6. Recent passport size photograph (2 copies) of each parent.
Note: Only on finding all documents satisfactory the child's admission would be
confirmed. students' attendance will be count once the admission is confirmed.
All disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of Haridwar courts of law only.
