Kabal of the Aphotic Razor

The Drukhari of the Aphotic Razor are cautious and untrusting in the extreme. Led by the paranoid
Archon Narysk Skorne, the Kabal dwells in a near forgotten corner of Low Commorragh. Surrounded
by warring hosts of lesser Drukhari, the Kabal of the Aphotic Razor have no permanent home,
instead moving from one abandoned spire to the next. Though secretive and rarely eager to fight
within the dark city, the Aphotic Razor are still violent warriors all. When the fighting in the skies
above their den is at a climax the elusive Kabal slips out to raid real space, leaving their temporary
accommodation for good.

In Commorragh, the Drukhari of the Aphotic Razor are experts at eliminating enemies en masse.
Whilst raiding, the pent-up need to cause pain and suffering that their solitude causes is unleashed
in a hail of splinter shards and darklight blasts. Their elusive nature still shows though however, for
the Kabal prefers to strike from afar from within their Raider transports. They take great satisfaction
from the knowledge that their enemies may not even know their killers are close when they die. But
there are times when a more direct and intimate form of combat is necessary for a raid to be
successful. In these times, Skorne turns to those in Commorragh he sees as an ally.

Uldross the Flenser, Lord of the Cimmerian Coterie has fought alongside Narysk Skorne and the
Aphotic Razor for millennia. The two groups are so closely connected that their battle colours are
almost identical, though this may be a decision by Skorne to keep his Kabal a secret. This does not
cause Uldross any concern. Where Skorne wishes to hide his existence, Uldross is constantly fighting
to make his coven as prominent as possible. This relationship suits both leaders well, even if they
have only met a dozen times in the last thousand years. When they go to war, the Cimmerian
Coterie send waves of bladed monstrosities to the fore, with the Kabal hidden in support. Together,
they are a terrifying foe to face.

It would be impossible for Skorne to maintain his anonymity without the warring gangs of reavers
and hellions that swarm around his spire. What those who watch the conflicts at a distance don’t
realise is that those who are tearing each other apart in the skies above the Kabal of the Aphotic
Razor are in fact members of said Kabal. Led by Archite Indra and her wych court, the gangs hone
their skills against one another whilst diverting attention away from the spires they encircle with
their near constant fighting. It is thanks to Uldross that Indra’s forces stay forever replenished with
regrown Drukhari, though the two leaders are less than keen on one another. If not for their
Archon’s iron grip on the triumvirate, it would have collapsed many centuries ago. This distrust
evaporates when the Kabal leaves the Dark City and goes to war against the lesser races of the
Galaxy.
