Some individuals think that athletic events like the
Olympics or the World Cup may be used to inspire people to live healthily. Still others believe that adults may be encouraged to practice better. In this essay I will discuss both the views with examples and give my opinion on the matter. Firstly, some think that people can be encouraged to live healthy through sporting events such as Olympics or World Cup. This is true because organizing sports events will attract a lot of people to watch and encourage people to play more sports. Sports not only help adults relieve stress after tiring working hours. Moreover, sports help people train their bodies to strengthen their resistance to help adults avoid cardiovascular diseases, obesity, or strokes (according to scientists' statistics, those who do not exercise will 3 times more likely to have a stroke than regular exercisers). For example, swimming has special requirement of body weight, which helps people lose weight and stay healthy. Another reason is that when adults see that athletes live a healthier and longer life than the average person, they are inspired to exercise. Furthermore, many want to emulate athletes since they regard them as idols. On the other hand, it is also regarded that, besides athletic events such as the Olympics and world cup, there are numerous means of motivating individuals to perform exercise and I agree. One of those things is that it is preferable to use steps instead of lifts if adults go into the workplace, but most people think cycling, brisk walking after dinner and other techniques, such as yoga, are better ways to do workouts. Adults are also generally hooked to workouts to get healthy. In my opinion, it is advisable to organize volunteer running contests for everyone to participate because it is more meaningful when both training the card body and contributing to helping those in need. In addition, billboards can be pasted to help people better understand the benefits of exercise to exercise properly to improve their health. To summarize, it is hardly rocket science that doing is preferable to watching, and I feel that spending time with others enhances the effectiveness of physical activities. It also improves the physical and mental health of adults, paving the way for a long life ahead.
