• The  catalyst  of  the  body,  destroys  red  blood  cells  to  make  them  anew  in  
spleen,  allows  us  to  break  down  foods  in  the  small  intestines.
• Alarm  system  of  the  body-­‐inflammation  and  rules  bitter  things,  which  is  a  
warning  bell  of  danger  in  chemical  structure.  
• Makes   visible  heat  diseases,   but  can  cause  cold  illnesses  by  dispersing  or  
burning  up  life  force  through  heat  misdirection.  (water  signs,  force  is  boiled  
off)
• Often  intolerable  or  acute  in  nature,  prompting  hasty  action  to  remedy  “I  
must  get  better!”
 North  Node  +  South  Node
• The  “knots”  of  the  body.  These  reveal  genetic  or  karmic  illnesses  that  are  
otherwise  difficult  to  explain.  What  we  inherit  and  leave  behind  in  the  
bodies  of  our  children.  
• North  node:  rules  the  mouth,  excesses,   father  genes,  obsessions,  
• South  node:  rules  anus,  deficiencies,  dissolution,  mother  genes,  apathy
• When  these  knots  are  with  the  planets,  the  planets  do  not  behave

the  body,  will  very  often  be  heavily  involved  in  the  
death  chart  as  it  also  acts  as  a  sort  of  psychopomp.

• Waxing:   Increase  that  Tissue  or  Physiological  Effect

• Whatever  sign  the  moon  is  in,  that  part  of  the  body  will  experience  fluid  
sensitivity.  Fluids  are  how  we  give  medicine.  So  treat  that  part  of  the  body!  
Example:   Moon   in   Aries:  Give  herbs   for  headache  /  eye-­‐strain  
• for  this  same  reason:  cutting  or  surgery  on  the  part  of  the  body  
represented  by  the  moon’s  transit  zodiac   sign  will  result  in  a  bloody  mess  
or  increased  pain  and  inflammatory  reactivity.  Don’t  do  it!  Moon   in  Gemini  
or  Aquarius:  don’t   give  Intravenous   needle!  Moon   in   Aries:  Don’t   do  brain  
surgery!

 DOCTOR vs PATIENT : SYNASTRY
• There  are  instances  when  a  doctor  should  not  work  with  or  operate  
on  a  patient  due  to  astrological  influences.  In  the  cases  of  the  nodes,  
karma  can  cause  a  surgeon  to  kill  a  patient  even  if  he  is  doing  his  
otherwise  best  at  the  procedure.    In  general  the  Dr.’s  Mercury  or  Mars  
should  not  be  in  conjunction  with  or  squaring  one  of  the  nodes  of  the  
patient’s  nativity.  Mars  will  cause  malpractice.  Mercury  will  cause  
misdiagnosis  or  administrative  and  electronic  failures.    These  are  
conditions  too  unpredictable  for  guaranteed  success  at  treatment.  
• Venus  /Jupiter/Mercury  in  relation  by  trine  or  sextile can  bring  good  
results  for  both  parties.
