VETERINARIAN
Main Responsibilities:
Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and monitoring the Economic Security (EcoSec)
Unit’s livestock programs in line with the Sub-delegation’s strategy.
Collects relevant information in the field for the implementation of the program and reports to the
EcoSec Team Leader.
Understands, analyzes and evaluates livestock related issues in Plateau, Benue, Nasarawa, Bauchi,
Kaduna and Taraba States.
Helps to set up a plan of action for any livestock intervention and proposes adjustments or corrective
steps when necessary
Maintains and develops a network of interlocutors in consultation with the supervisor(s)
Participates in implementing and monitoring the various components of the EcoSec program
Provides written reports on field visits, assessments, animal vaccination activities, trainings and
general progress of the program
Keeps accounts of expenditures for the Livestock Program.
Helps to internally promote the integration of other ICRC departments (Field/Wathab/Com) in
vaccination campaigns
