Test Procedure A 10-kg object falls from a height of 2.5 meters onto a pre-stretched length of belting. The belting is supported by an idler on the spot where the weight drops onto the belt, After each impact. the remaining tensile strength of the belt is measured as a percentage of the original tensile strength DIAMOFLEX TEST og 25m 1 l testpiece n idler TEST RESULTS belttype 500/4 500/5 0/3 ‘remaining tensile strength aftertblow 69% 18% rr after2blows 34% sox Ea The result clearly shows that the DiamoFlex belt has a much higher impact resistance than a regular 4 or 5-ply belt of equal tensile strength due to the superior impact absorption qualities of the thick inner layer.
