Activities for Intervention

Resistor Experiment

Perform this experiment to test how resistor reduce the current in a circuit. You will need a 50Ω (green,
black black) a 100Ω (brown, black, brown) a 470Ω (yellow, violet, brown) a 22kΩ (red, red, orange) and a
100kΩ (brown, black, yellow)

For this test you need a 3.5V lamp and 4.5 battery. Connect the four resistor to the lamp and battery.

Hint:

Each time you touch a resistor you make a circuit through it for the current the bulb is dimmer with
higher value resistors because they resist the current more than the lower value ones.
How diodes work

For these test you need a 4.5V Battery a LED (light emitting diode) and Diode type IN4002.

Hint:

Current can flow only one direction, and they always have a stripe or arrow on one end to show you
how to connect them.
How Transistors Work

Transistor are very useful components. They can be used to control the strength of the current, and they
also act like a switch, turning the current off and on

You will need a 4.5V battery, two LED and transistor type BFY50.

Hint
Draw at least 30 types of electronics symbols for the completion of intervention. January 18, 2018.

I hereby will complete the intervention required by my teacher Vincent Paulo M. Bujawe for I will get a
passing grade in subject of Electronics 8.
