The special values of L-functions attached to the objects in Number Theory and Arith-
metic Geometry are known (or expected) to carry a rich source of information. Study
of these special values therefore plays an important role in mathematical research. My
general interests concern the study of special L-values. In particular, I have verified the
Equivariant Tamagawa Number Conjecture (ETNC) in certain examples for L-functions
attached to number fields and elliptic curves. ETNC, formulated by Burns and Flach,
predicts the special values in terms of algebraic elements arising from certain exact se-
quences. The Conjecture generalizes the Bloch-Kato Conjecture and the conjectures of
Stark, Chinburg, Gross et al. It is therefore a huge source of open problems and I wish
to address some, that are of particular interest to the number theorists.
