BODAS VAC
Application software for Valve Control

High dynamics, efficiency and safety are the most important

requirements for a working hydraulics system. This also includes
simple adaptability to customer specific requirements and the
integration of new functions. Bosch Rexroth´s new BODAS Valve
Control (VAC) is a standard software solution embedded on a
RC12-10/30 controller to control a valve block. The VAC also
offers a scalable solution which allows modification of the
software to fulfill further demands. BODAS VAC is the right
solution for mobile working machines – such as wheeled loaders,
telehandlers and backhoe loaders.

Easy adaptation to customer needs
The BODAS VAC from Bosch Rexroth is an easily configurable
software for valve control. The hydraulics system consists of a
fixed or variable pump, a valve block and the actuators like
hydraulic cylinders or hydraulic motors.
The VAC software reads in joystick signals and controls the
valves via easily configurable curves. This allows a flexible
control of hydraulic cylinders or motors. In this way an individual
adaptation to various customer specific hydraulic configurations is
possible.

Integrated safety functions according to EN ISO 13849

The combination of BODAS VAC and a Rexroth controller offers
ready-to-use safety functions according to the EN ISO 13849
APPLICATIONS standards.
It also enables the machine manufacturer to realize safety
functions for the hydraulic subsystem and finally on machine
level. In this way Bosch Rexroth supports the OEM and helps to
make the machines as well as the operation site more safe.

Versatile interfaces
Each input device (HMI) can either be hardwired to the Rexroth
control unit or can be connected via CAN. The CAN protocol is
based on the SAE J1939 standard. For example the VAC
application software supports joysticks with CAN bus interface
(SAE J1939 protocol: BJM1 or proprietary) or with analog signals.
