Enable Check Control –

Procedure is roughly as follows

Turn on car ignition - engine not running.


Plug the interface into the diagnostic / data line communication socket.

Start Software
Select Diagnostics
Select Model Year
Select Vehicle Model
Select Infotainment
Select DIS – Display

(If running 100219, dependent upon model year and vehicle, this may give the option for
BID,GID & CID on SWCAN, and another option without SWCAN... you can select either option)

Select Programming
The security code will not be required to program non-security items in the display.

Select Variance Configuration Settings


(Scroll through the Variance Configuration Settings Pages until you see the box for Check
Control)

Enable Check Control

Select Program

Await confirmation that programming was successful.

Repeatedly select Back until you get to the front page, then Exit.

Turn ignition off for 30 seconds, and unplug the Opcom unit.

Turn on the ignition and verify that check control works. -


To test that this works, remove a bulb connector.
On Vectra-C, the washer fluid level warning will pop-up on the display, unless the switch has
been fitted in the windscreen washer bottle.
On the Astra-H, it will not.
