GUIDED SCRIPTS

Hello everyone,
My name is ______ and I’m ten years old.
Today, I want to share about _________ celebration which is one of the
biggest celebrations in Malaysia.

Choose any festival you like

Hari Raya
Marking the month of fasting, Hari Raya Puasa is considered as the most important Muslim
festival in Malaysia. The day is celebrated with prayers and open houses, allows Muslims to
share food with their family members. They take this opportunity to apologize to each
other. On this special day, Muslims will go to the mosque to listen to sermons and pray.
They also cook 'rendang' curries and prepare satay to go with the 'ketupat'. Muslims will
decorate their houses with many coloured lights all over the garden. On Hari Raya morning,
Muslims will wear beautiful baju kurung or kebaya and baju melayu. Many Malaysians visit
their Muslim friends to share their joy. They receive warm hospitality and are entertained
to a feast of specially prepared food.

Chinese New Year

Chinese New Year marks the end of the Chinese Lunar calendar. Buddhist will decorate
their houses using traditional red decoration to ward bad spirit. New dresses such as
Cheongsam and Samfu are worn on this day. On this special day, Bhuddist free birds and
pray in temples. They get busy making cakes, biscuits, glutinous rice cakes and jellies.
Homes are decorated with red lanterns are hung outside and new pots of flowers and
Mandarin orange plants are placed in the garden. The new year’ eve dinner is also an
important dinner for Chinese as the reunion dinner for the family members especially for
those who were away from their home. Fireworks along with lion dance are also performed
during Chinese New Year. Red packets are given to the kids from their parents,
grandparents, elders and relatives as a gift for the kids.

Deepavali
Deepavali is also called the Festival of Lights and it is the biggest event in the Hindu
calendar. On the morning of Deepavali, Hindus get up before sunrise for a ritual oil bath
and put on fresh, new saree, jippa or dhothi. They go to temple to offer prayers to God for
his mercies and blessings on the family. Then, they return home to have a grand breakfast
with Idli, thosai with curry. This is followed by sweets and delicacies such as murukku,
cakes, sweetmeats and biscuits which are laid attractively on the table. In Malaysia, Hindus
would invite friends of different races and religion for an open house. This is a unique
practise which definitely builds stronger ties among Malaysian and promotes unity in this
multi-racial country.

is there some human latitude?
Now every building must make or is it the result of divine

Beauty is beyond that, just like art
