ENVIRONMENTAL ANALYSIS

TREND IN THE INDUSTRY

As we all know, the pandemic brought massive changes in this
current new normal, and we can’t deny that things will not go back to its
original state once it’s all over. Majority of the business sectors are now
joining the digital trend to be able to adapt to the demands of the world.
Thus, we now observe businesses are opening options in an online set-
up.
In terms of education, online classes are being adapted. What was
once optional, becomes the mandatory arrangement for education to
continue. With this current trend, we believe that the opportunity for
iTutor to become a successful business is at a high percentage. Aside
that iTutor offers the not so typical set of courses, but it is also adapting
a flexible learning set up that makes teaching and learning convenient.

CONSUMER ANALYSIS

The clients, or as we prefer calling the “aspirants” are the ones

who enroll and avail the set of courses offered in our web-based
platform. They are in the elementary level, ages 5 to 13 years. To have a
lot of client/aspirants we need to present a learning set-up that’s
conducive and adaptable for their ages. That way, the parents will most
likely would want to enroll their children to be tutored earlier.
As we start the business, we are going to focus first with the
target group of clients. Granted that the business improves and becomes
more established, we will then also cater the higher level, mainly the
high school students, ages 13 to 18 years.

p. 10
COMPETITOR ANALYSIS

The competitors of iTutor have their own features and set of

courses offered. Commonly, their main focus is to tutor students’
academic papers or subjects. There are a lot of online tutoring company
that offers academic related subjects but few to none which offers
online tutoring of non-academic subjects. That’s why iTutor offers
courses which focus to enhance or develop the skills of the students.

MARKET FORECAST

iTutor is going earn more profit, especially today that the online
tutoring services are highly in demand. People would want to acquire
new set of skills, especially the parents who wants their children to
perform well not just in their academic performance but also in their
extracurricular performances to enhance competence. iTutor expects to
boom

MARKET SHARE

The industry of online tutoring services is in the current trend in

the modern world. There are top five competitors of our business which
are mostly used by the Filipino elementary students. These apps are in
the field of online tutoring services: Brainly, Quora, Coursehero,
Edukasyon, and Masterclass.
As per the percentage indicated in graph below, it shows that 23%
of the market share belongs to Brainly, 21% for Coursehero, 19% for
Quora, 16% for Edukasyon, 13% for Masterclass, and we will have 8% of
the market share as we just open the business.

MARKET STRATEGY

Starting a business is never easy, so a careful and systematic

planning is to be emphasized in order to run the business smoothly.
First, a survey is to be conducted to find out the perfect approach of our
business to the market.
Next, we are going to identify our strengths as well as the
weaknesses. Where does our business excel and where does it lacks
with? This is to determine how we can strengthen our business more
and how we can cope up with our weaknesses.
p. 13
It will then be followed by the developing of our website. After the
website is develop, we will apply for licensing so we can run our site and
also apply to Google adsense for additional income, then proceed to a
soft release of the site.
For promotion, we will introduce our business to our friends and
relatives, they’ll be the ones to promote it soon to their friends when
they find our business serviceable and convenient. Another is through
online ads, this is why we applied to google adsense, for online
advertisement.
We will also cater the FAQ and suggestions from the clients
through our site. That way we will be able to consider the needs and
wants of our clients, and be able to cope up with our lapses earlier.
After systematic and careful running of the business, and once it is
already becoming known to the people, we will still continue to upgrade
our system and hopefully improve the business.
p. 14
