10. Explain how having knowledge of molecular biology helps in solving societal issues?

Science is a broad knowledge to take in. It consists of information and even inventions
that feeds up the society by means of survival. But we cannot consider all of this as a solution
because it is not a one-shot study that could solve all the problems even in the society. But we
can consider several branches of science to make a change specifically in solving societal
problems. Like in molecular biology, having some knowledge with this branch can make a
change to what we are experiencing now. Basically, through molecular biology, those people
who has the expertise can make a disease prevention and even treatment. How could this
possible? In genetic engineering, we can consider this as one tool to lessen or even end up covid-
19. Therefore, we are now in a phase where vaccines and other drugs were out of the market to
be used to help us to prevent getting infected by this SARS-COV2 virus. Aside from getting
cured through this molecular biology, it also helps people in the issues of crime. In this case, we
used the electrophoresis to check out the possible suspect who matches with the size of DNA in
the fingerprint. If this can be widely used, it can cause positive impact especially in PNP and
forensic examiners to easily check and even to lower the crime rate in a specific place. And if
they managed to lower the crime rate it can open another key to give focus to a more serious
things like hunger. And for us to undertake this societal issues, molecular biology also helps us
in plants and animal cloning, specifically in manipulation. This can be helpful because due to
this, it creates more crops and other foods quicker and economically. This will ensure that this
can be used to produce more to people so that we can alleviate problems in food shortage and
yet, this will help the human civilization to preserve such species so that they will not experience
several and severe problems from the future. But all of this will not be possible without the
application, if we all insisted every within our minds its kind of hard for us to produce helpful
things from the community so its kind of better to look for such application that will manifest a
good result for all.
