i. Integrating technology in the teaching and learning process will firstly improve the teaching
process as online resources can be used very creatively.
ii. Learners are already familiar and comfortable with technology and so it can facilitate the learning
process.
iii. Integrating technology can improve the engagement of learners and therefore improve
knowledge retention and enhances the learner-teacher relationship.

i. Lack of funding limits school’s resources to facilitate integrating technology into the learning
process.
ii. Teachers that lack basic skills on using technology or that are not trained adequately on
integrating technology in the classroom are unconfident and therefore ineffective in the teaching
process.
iii. Learners abusing devices by using the internet for other than schoolwork can be an issue and a
distraction.
iv. Some teachers are not open to learning about technology as they find it difficult and are
therefore unwillingly to integrate technology into the classroom environment.
v. Lack of technical support for the technology being used in the school.

i. Schools that have a lack of funding should empower themselves by looking for sponsors and other
ways to raise money.
ii. Schools senior management teams should organise workshops to train and educate teachers
about integrating technology in the classroom. These workshops should be mandatory for teachers
to attend.
iii. Devices being used in the classroom should have security apps installed to limit learner access to
the internet preventing abuse.
iv. Workshops and training on the benefits of technology integration in the classroom will assist
teachers to understand, become practical and more open to exploring technology in the classroom.
v. Schools should ask IT companies for sponsorship on the technical support aspect of their devices
being used.
