ADVERBS TOO & ENOUGH


Too (demasiado)
TOO: means "more than you want"
my bag was big. It was too big for hand luggage.

we always put too before the adjective.


I couldn´t carry my bag - it was too heavy.
Enough (suficiente)

ENOUGH: means "as much as you want"


my bag was small enough to go in hand luggage.

NOT ENOUGH: means "not as much as you want"


my bag was not small enough to go in hand luggage

we always put enough after the adjective.


I was late for my flight - the taxi was not fast enough.
Enough

We can also use enough and not enough after


a noun:
I have enough money to buy a new car
There was not enough time to have lunch.
