A JOURNEY I HAVE MADE

One saturday morning 5th March 1957,

when i woke up from bed my elder brother
was in the hall sleeping and my father has
finish dressing going to work. My mother was
in the kitchen preparing our breakfast. So i
went to the hall to get some rest. After my
mom finish cooking, she called everyone to
come and eat. We all ate a wonderful breakfa-
st and my father went to work.
After washing the bowls, i went to
pick my phone to play some games, after 30
minutes later, my phone was belling , so i was
wondering who will call me. Because i haven't
given my phone number to my friends or any
body. So i answered the call not noticing that
it was my uncle in U.S.A. so i asked "who are
you "and he said i am your uncle it is me
uncle Joe, so i shouted his name three times.
Then my mother from the kitchen
saying Kwasi! who are you talking to? and i
said it is Uncle Joe who is in U.S.A. and my
mother quickly took the phone from me and
chating with Uncle Joe for a long time. So my
mother called me and my elder brother and
we were surprised that my mother called
both of us because we haven't done anything
wrong. Then my mother shoutly said we are
going to U.S.A. my elder brother and i was
excited. We started packing our things and
my mother called my father and tell him
everything.
Then in the morning around
4:ooam and we took off. In the car i saw
many things such as the Kwame Nkrumah
circle, a Blue Jay on the way and snapped
some pictures. So we finally reach the airport,
infact that was the first time i have seen an
aeroplane standing. We did everything we
supposed to do and we took off by 7:30am.In
the aeroplane i saw plenty tiny houses and
some Sparrows on the way.So this was the
happiest journey i have ever made.
Yours faithfully
