ASSIGNMENT

Case Scenario:
Norman, a 10-year-old boy, was admitted to the hospital yesterday for
tonsillitis. The morning after surgery, he broke out with fever and chills.
He was diagnosed with Scarlet Fever. His family works as migrant farm
workers. His mother is not sure whether he received all of his vaccines
because she did not feel comfortable giving some of them to him.
What if… The nurse realizes that Norman, who was diagnosed as having
scarlet fever a day after surgery for tonsillitis, must have been
infectious while he was in surgery because that was his prodromal
period. What can the nurse do to make sure other people do not
contract the infection?
Based on the standard and transmission based-precautions of infection
control, enumerate some precautionary measures and health teachings
to decrease the transmission of infectious agents in the healthcare
